This hat does well in water or in land. It shapes back easily is waterproof and cool.

Husband kept getting sunburned by just wearing baseball style hats during his walks. I suggested trying a brimmed hat. I found this one on Amazon and most of the reviews were great. The other reviews were ridiculously picky and lame. Hubby choose the lightest color to reflect sun. Needless to say, he LOVES his new hat! No more sunburned neck and ears!

Stronger brim than you would expect from this super lightweight fabric

I purchased this for golfing in very very hot Eastern Washington. Played four rounds of golf in four days in 95° + heat. Worked perfectly to keep the sun off of my ears face and neck. Now has a rim of salt around it and I’m about to put it in the washing machine. We will see how it works

I like this hat. First time out it did a solid job of protecting me while doing yard work in the GA heat and sun. It doesn't have any magical cooling properties but I wasn't really expecting that. It does keep me quite a bit cooler than the boonie style hat I'd been using. Fits my big melon of a head just fine. Combined it with a neck gaiter and stayed as comfortable as one can realistically be while working in midday GA summer heat.

Would definitely buy again feels great and helps block sun

Basically just wanted a light, durable cover for face, neck and ears and this cover was perfect at a great price. I like the bonus of snapping up the sides to give it a non-Gilligan look, but it is very comfortable down and it's lightness is a huge plus
