I'm not a nail tech/professional, but I did some research on DIY gel nails. Based on the chemical formulation of the gel polishes and the type of lamp used to cure them, you can under or overcure the gel polish. From my understanding, the burning sensation is due to overcuring (aka using a lamp too "powerful" for this formulation). However, it's not so bad with my lamp when I apply a thin layer and the burning sensation goes away after a few seconds.

Overall, I have good luck with the application of this product, but this polish peels off of my nails very easily. I purchased this because i had read that this polish doesn't chip or peel, and it does both for me. I really love the different applicator brushes and think all of them are well suited to their particular product. I like the short brush for the base coat.

I love this 4 pack- it really is everything you need for gel nails. The base coat is very thick so I may have to research how to thin it out a bit so it doesn’t clump too fast and then can’t be used but otherwise it was great! Definitely recommend!

Makes for a great gel manicure, but needs to be wiped with acetone at the end, otherwise nails feel sticky/tacky like they’re still drying even after a long time curing under the lamp. Overall happy but wouldn’t buy this brand again

My first gel nail polish experience, so I can't really compare to other brands. Using the ph bond, base, and top coat with some Aimeili polishes, I am able to get more than 3 weeks out of my manicure, and even then it's not really coming off -- it's just that half my nail is grown out by then. I like how strong and break-proof my nails are with a gel manicure -- I am very rough with my hands due to my lifestyle, so it's nice to have something that stays nice for a long time with not too much effort. I didn't like the cuticle oil -- it is highly fragranced, which is irritating to my skin and nose.

I bought and used these with the Gellen polishes. So far I get anywhere from 7-10 days. I’m still new to the DIY gel nails. I don’t do any kind of touch ups. I’m a nurse and wash/sanitize my hands a gazillon times a day and on my days off I do the usual housework. I keep my nails fairly short for sanitary reasons. Normal polish chips within a couple of days despite expensive top coats, I’ve tried many.

A few of the bottles leak if they don’t stay upright. The product is easy to use however the longevity of the product does not stay on super long and they peel up easily. If you’re looking for a bi weekly alternative to do yourself though look no further. I’ve gotten many compliments on my nails and I don’t have to spend a ton of money getting them done, just wish they product would last longer.
