Pretty Good, but Ouch

The seam that secures the straps to the tiny ring in the back of the bra is incredibly scratchy. I have large red scratches on my back from the rubbing. Pretty much any seam or edge is scratchy - appears to be from a heated sealing of the edges of the fabric. Also, when you pull down the outer cups, they don't lay flat and hang over your tummy. They are connected at the sides in such a way that they have to fold in half and bunch up under your breasts. This gets in the way of baby when trying to nurse and it means the pad in the bra is getting bent and creased, which eventually becomes noticeable. Better than the cheap ones you find, but I'm not thrilled with the price for something I now have to modify to keep from bleeding all over it as it gouges my flesh.

I wanted to love it

The fabric was nice and thick, and it looked and felt well-made and supportive, but when I tried it on, the part on the straps that was sown together at the base was really digging into my skin. It felt almost sharp. I knew I would be too irritated with that poking me to be able to wear it for any stretch of time.

Great support but uncomfortable

I love the fabric and support in the front but the straps on the back are uncomfortable to say the least The piece of fabric for the strap is looped and cut so that it sticks out and is facing inward on your back. The result is an uncomfortable bra that I keep adjusting because it scratches the skin. Not sure if I would order again sadly

Extremely functional, fit lacking.

I don’t love the bra but I also don’t hate it. It’s extremely functional and has made pumping significantly easier which is why I kept the bras. The fit, however, is a little lacking. I took the fit quiz and they suggested either a medium or medium busty (34 band, D cup) and I went with a medium so maybe I should’ve sized up. The band was extremely tight when I put it on and has remained tighter than I like. The straps hit me in a weird spot, very wide on my shoulders and I’m constantly pulling them up. Where the strap is sewn around the O ring has rubbed my back raw. I’m in desperate need of a pumping bra solution so I kept what I purchased but I probably would have returned the other 2 had I had more space to find a different option.

Decent but not worth the price

I am a very small chested woman with a fairly small frame and I am using extenders on a size medium! Also the back of this bra hurts and my breasts itch really bad with this bra on. So much so that I had to add some cloth breast pads into my bra just to make it through a work day recently. I’m really unhappy with the quality of these. I had really high hopes and bought one in each color.

Great idea for pumping moms, though a bit inconsistent

I really like the idea of these bras. They truly can be the best tool in your new mom box but fit is key. I purchased three bras all same size (XL busty), 2 black and 1 nude. The black ones are great. They fit snug but comfortable and are supportive on both Spectra and Medela flanges (I use both to pump). I tighten up the straps for extra support while pumping and loosen the straps after pumping to give my breasts a bit of a breather. The nude bra I received unfortunately is a much different fit. It is much, much looser in the cups and stretchier on the flange openings than the black bras...resulting in less support so much that I’m having trouble keeping suction on my larger/heavier side while pumping. I keep tightening the straps but it’s not really helping. I wish the sizing was more consistent across Kindred Bravely products given the premium price tag compared to other pumping bras offered by third parties.

Super functional and a decent fit, but the back straps hurt

I have been wearing the Kindred Sublime nursing bras since my first child in 2016. Ever since my ribs shifted during pregnancy, I cannot handle underwire and the regular Subline Nursing bras are amazing. Usually, when I return to work and start pumping, I have to have a second bra I zip over my normal bra- so when I saw this combo nursing/pumping bra come out, I was SO EXCITED. Overall, the bra works as advertised. I normally wear a Med-Busty as a 34H/I and that is what I ordered with the Hands-Free Nursing and Pumping bra. The convenience of having just one bra makes it worth it, in my opinion. The front clasps are great, the cup is roomy and supportive, and my flanges are easy to get in/out. My biggest issue is the plastic rings that connect the straps to the band in the back are really painful. They dig weirdly into my back and are in such a strange spot- I have never encountered this with my regular Sublime nursing bras- just the combo bras. And like other reviewers stated, the area where the straps connect to those painful little plastic rings are also really scratchy. I didn't get abrasions but it is honestly really uncomfortable in the back. I'm going to try the band-aid trick that some others have written about and hope that adds enough cushion to those plastic rings as well as stops the scratching. I honestly would give this 5 starts if those back straps weren't so painful. I do wear them almost daily for work because I am pumping but the second I get home, I change into my Sublime nursing only bra because it is so much more comfortable.

Not for overproducers

I want to love this bra. When I was pregnant, this was my holy grail daily bra and I was SO excited to wear it when my LO arrived. Three weeks in and I have the happy misfortune of being an overproducer. Sadly, this bra does not let my breast fully drain with the pump. I get painful lumps where my breast touches the bottom of the bra and in my cleavage. I have it in multiple sizes and have tried each size with the extender, but either my breasts slide out the bottom or I get pockets of milk (even with hands on during a pumping session). For reference, I am a 32DD and have tried a small, a small busty, and a medium.

Awkward fit

Got an XL like sports bra and this fit really tight but thankfully came with back strap extender. The pads are removals which I wish were fixed given the price and the location of how the strap hit in the front are more toward the middle of your breast versus the side so a little awkward.

Comfortable but not practical

Most comfortable bra I've worn in a while, but not very practical. The clips are hard to clip/unclip, which is not helpful when you have a screaming little one waiting to be fed or trying to clip it back up quickly. The pumping part isn't strong enough to hold up the flanges and bottle. Whyyy is it so hard to find the perfect nursing/pumping bra?
