Easy to fly, buttons works really well. I fly mines when it wasn't windy. Easy to charge. It was compatible with my phone, so i was able to see footage streaming live. It has good battery life. Had lots of fun with family outside. Great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first experience with a drone. I've seen others use them and I'm familiar with their capabilities, but I have never tried one myself. This Ascend Aeronautics ASC-2450 HD Video Drone was the perfect introductory drone for me. The drone comes in a sturdy box that's a bit of a challenge to open. Once opened, there are several components that come with it. You have the drone itself (which can fold compactly), a rechargeable battery for the drone, a USB cord to charge the battery, the remote/phone holder (without the 4 AAA batteries), 8 replacement blades, 8 replacement screws, and a small phillips screwdriver. You will need to charge the battery for about 2-3 hours before it's ready to use. Once charged, the battery slides nicely into the back of the drone. I downloaded the corresponding app for the drone. The setup of the app was fairly easy if you're experienced with your phone. The app helps you take and store photos and videos. You can save the files directly in the app. You also have the option to save to a micro-SD card (not included) that goes directly into the drone itself. This option will give you the highest definition, but requires a bit more work since you need to transfer the card to a computer and use an mp4 media player to view and save the files. After you set everything up, you'll need to sync up your remote to the drone. This was a very easy and straightforward process and the included directions tell you exactly what to do. After the sync, it's time to fly. I strongly recommend reading the instructions, especially if you're new to flying drones like me. There are many buttons that do a lot of different things. The last thing you want to do is crash your drone because of inexperience. I also recommend not flying in windy weather, especially if it's your first time. It took me about 2 days and about 5 battery charges to get fully comfortable flying the drone. There is a lot to learn and get used to. There are several flight control options, speeds, emergency stops, photo taking and video recording, and even a fun 360 stunt roll. I've taken many photos and videos and I can attest that they are of very high quality. I've used it to photograph our house, around a lake, and even taking cool videos of my children playing outside. The possibilities are endless once you get comfortable (and good) at flying the drone. The drone maneuvers very smoothly and can move at a pretty decent speed to make for some cool videos. A full battery charge usually gets me about 15-20 minutes of flying time, which doesn’t seem like a lot but is plenty to get some good shots of the area you’re in. If you're new to drones like me, this is a great starter. It’s fun to play around with and is something our whole family has come to enjoy. The setup, app, and controls are easy to use once you get some practice in - keyword practice. It takes amazing photos and videos and you have a couple of ways to access them depending on the quality you want. I am very happy with this Ascend Aeronautics drone and would highly recommend it to others who want to get into this hobby.

It's easy to operate, takes very decent videos, and is perfect for the beginner to medium operator. I really like that it is a collapsible drone and that it also has altitude hold which many drones in this range don't have. The video is sent right to your phone. The range is also decent. This is a solid present for teenagers and older that are interested in drones.

The video has great quality, it was easy for him to learn how to maneuver. I was worried about him hitting a car or flying into a tree but it handles well. It is a great drone, fun to fly.
