He's wanted a drone but I got tired of the small cheap drones that just died or fell apart on single mishap and I wasn't ready to spend serious money on a nine year old. This fits the bill of good enough and easy enough for him to control in the mean time. Would recommend for a beginner or kid.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This drone was easy to use right out of the box. The instructions were clear and I was flying it pretty well within a few minutes. The charge time was about 2.5 hours and I got almost 20 minutes of flying time out of it. The camera captured some really good pictures and it was easy to connect to my phone using the app. The only thing I didn't like was the phone holder on the remote, it just isn't big enough to hold my phone, though it is close. I like the speed settings so I could go slow until I got the hang of the controls. It is remarkably tough, as I crash a lot and haven't had any issues outside of having to unfold the arm again. It folds up nice and compact for storage as well. Overall this is a fun-to-fly drone and does what I need it to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is so much fun! I've largely stayed away from these kinds of things since the terrible radio control helicopter incident of 2010. That would give anyone nightmares. ha But this drone is practically dummy proof. Between the auto-land feature that can be used when a beginner such as myself feels like it is getting away from you, to easy to use controls, I was up and going in minutes. I'm also not ashamed to admit that my 7 year old was even faster to learn it than her dad was, that just goes to show that while it has a learning curve, it isn't a steep one. The battery lasted for about 10 minutes with us which was kind of a bummer, but I guess it worked out because the wind started to pick up and this small unit wasn't built to beat anything stronger than a breeze. So while we haven't had a chance to download the app and try out the video/picture function of the drone yet, that will be first on our list once the wind dies down. Overall this gets two enthusiastic thumbs up from us.

The drone comes with step-by-step directions to tell you how to sync it and set up the drone for the first use. The drone remote is very easy to use and I love the fact that I can watch everything using my cell phone. It didn’t take that long to charge and there’s a decent range on how far it can go. My kids and I have those been using it ever since we opened the package.

Once that problem was identified and the included blade replacement was attached, it was easy to setup and get flying. The camera angle is a manual setting, so set that before you take off, after that the video was clear and communicated back with my phone quickly and without much lag. The battery lasts a decent amount of time and charges quickly. The drone folds up easily but the propellers don’t lock down so when it’s folded they flop around. Not a big deal if you put it in a carrying case. It is a fun drone to fly and the controls are easy to use for beginners.

It's really set up for beginners, the app makes it easy to connect with and has the capabilities for on screen controlls. Takes excellent videos and photos with simple pressing of a toggle. The controls are nice and easy to get the hang of. Adjust the trim was also easy but it didn't take much adjusting. Doesn't preform to great in breezy situations but it states the mph limit for flying. Battery lasts quite while and the simple folding of the wings makes storage quick and safe. All in all I'm gonna have alot of fun with this drone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Drone is great for first time beginners looking to get in to the Drone world. It's cool that it has the camera also. It's not as good as a DJI but great for starting out then you can work your way up to the top of the line ones.

I am a beginner at the drones but this was fun. It crashed a couple of times but didnt break. i would have expected it to brake something. its very lightweight. i would get more of these and my kids loved it.
