This was a replacement for my previous one of the same model which I used for over fifteen years before it quit. Consider how great a value that is. The blades last a long time and are definitely worth what they cost. I'm thankful that this model has not been discontinued. Wonderful design. Blades are a snap to change as is the triple A battery. Highly recommended.

UPDATE 12/19/17 Well after my words below and a note from the manufacturer I went back and changed the battery again. Nothing. Took the end cap off and looked inside. There was a tiny piece of plastic in the bottom. Took a chopstick and fished it out, replaced the battery and BOOM it works. Must have been a piece of plastic from the battery packaging, who knows. Fantastic shave. (I shave my head every other day) and I was bummed as this IS the best razor I have ever used. All good. Thank you Gillette. Great product. Great customer response. Old review: Very nice shave for sure. Only had a couple months and just quit one day. Changed the battery and it's dead. Would definitely purchase again but hesitant if the battery lasts longer than the razor.

Yes, the Old one lasted about 15 years. And I loved it; I enjoy this one even more (To Soon to fall In Love). Oh man this is the best shave I have ever had! If it last even half as long as the Old one I will be happy.

I love the Gillette Fusion5 ProGlide Power Men's Razor. The vibration makes it easier to get a close shave without a lot of irritation. I tried one of the mail order shaving clubs and stuck it out for a while, in an attempt to save money. But it just wasn't worth it to me. Yes, Gillette razor blades are overpriced, but my wife expects me to shave and I expect to be able to shave without much painful irritation and it's worth the extra money to be able to do that. I make the blades last a little longer with a Blade Buddy to keep the razor edges sharp, and it helps keep the price down a little.

Giving Away the Razor, Selling the Blades is a loss leader marketing strategy introduced way back with the first double-sided blades. Though the handle with the battery vibrator is not free, it is cheaper than it should be. On the other hand, the blades of a proprietary fit are expensive. So much Walmart keeps them locked away. But when all said and done, they are comfortable and the mechanical wiggling helps shaving (I also have the manual version for the same blades for comparison). The blades last reasonably long so I do not mind the expense.

This razor and blade does a great job on even stubborn beards, and ones that have accumulated over a number of days. Th vibrating head does work and makes for a fast clan shave.

Gives a really close and smooth shave. The chances of nicking and cutting are low. I have used Gillette products for almost 20 years now, and they have never disappointed me. These blades also last for almost a month even with my really thick beard.

I just love this razor. Lost my first one a year and a half ago when traveling, and have... whined about it ever since until I broke down and bought a second. Most favorite ever.
