Got it as a gift for my dad. He loves it and uses it all the time. I use yellow/back Gillette shaver for myself and love it as well. Smooth on the skin and gives close shave. Mens Gillette shavers are great; i used to get razor burns and cut easily with women shavers but ever since i switched to these my skin feels and looks better. Makes my legs so smooth and nice.

The vibration feature makes a big difference in performance. Think about it. When you want to slice a sirloin steak or a log from a tree you don't just "push down" with your knife you "saw" back and forth. Without the sawing feature you would never get through the log and certainly more difficult getting the fillet into mouth size. While the comparison difference of these examples are of huge size the same principle applies. The Power ProGlide is "sawing" the whiskers with the energy provided by your Duracell AAA Alkaline rather than potential irritation caused by the extra pressure necessary to slice those nasty hairs without electricity. Again think about it. Internal combustion engines are slowly being replaced by electric cars. Manual typewriters long gone with the change to computers. Tried for electric shaver replacement fpr daily head shave - very smooth and close shave like "baby's bottom"

I’m retired and don’t have a real thick beard, so I generally only shave 2-3 times a week. I was using cheap disposable razors (because were cheap), but the first shave was only okay, and subsequent ones were increasingly unsatisfactory. So I decided to spend some coin on this shaver, mostly because the reviewers said the blades lasted awhile. And I’m happy to report that they do! I’m still on the first blade a couple of months in. The vibrating mechanism in this shaver gives a very close shave. I don’t think I want anything else going forward. Don’t spend big money on those mail-away razor systems. In my opinion, this is the best shave for the buck out there.

I had a 10-year-old Gillette pro-glide razor that the switch wore out. This razor is far superior to my old one. Some people question the value of the motor. If you shave without it the razor pulls much harder. I heard it likened to slicing bread by moving the knife back and forth or merely pressing on the blade. Which cuts easier? This new razor oscillates at a much higher speed than the old one ever did. As far as the flex neck, it might be a small improvement to follow your face contour. For the price, if this lasts anywhere close the last one, it's a really good buy.
