Beats have been making ‘audio devices’ for over a decade and I would see friends, family, strangers, etc. wearing Beats headphones and I thought they looked super sleek and people always said they were amazing, so I wanted a pair but never did cause of how expensive they were. So, when I saw these and since they were under $100 I bought a pair. The reason(s) I bought the EP model is mainly due to price, also my iPhone won’t stay connected to BT and will disconnect and reconnect at random; so having a headphone jack wire solved that problem temporarily. I cannot wear in-ear earphones as my inner ear is a tad unique so any in-ear earphones, earplugs, etc. cause me excruciating pain. I had bought AirPods but they never felt secure and sometimes they would fall out, which was whatever as it didn’t happen all the time, but it just became annoying, plus due to not having a ‘seal’, the bass was awful. Then one of the other reasons were the look and “quality”. (They used to come in a cheap-ish hard case, but it still garnered some protection. These come with a flimsy lil’ velvet drawstring baggy. I do know that Apple bought out the brand and since I never owned or used any Beats before Apple, I cannot say if the music quality was better beforehand. Anyway, reviews are mostly good, but mixed. The biggest complaints I saw were that the build quality is bad, making the high price tag not worth it and I can concur, they look metal but it’s all mostly plastic. The other is that the sound quality wasn’t up to par with the price tag and I agree. If all of this happened after Apple took over, it’s a shame and I believe it’s true that Apple are using the look to sell and Inheard nothing but great things about the headphones back before then. So, should you buy these? Well... they ain’t terrible, they aren’t super comfy, but I’ve seen and had worse and the sound quality isn’t super bad, so if these are discounted, go for it. There’s always the chance to return them if you end up absolutely hating them. *You definitely should listen to others about their experience(s) and opinion(s), but what works for one person, doesn’t mean it will be a good fit for you. So, even if you see some negative comments, those problems may not be valid and you won’t know until you try! :)
