This lovely umbrella brought new purpose to my backyard. The perfect size keeps you cool with its shade on a sunny day. The lights on the inside of the umbrella add a nice touch. Very easy to install and operate. Highly recommend. Would repurchase.

As others have reviewed, there is a piece on this umbrella that broke. However, it is an easy fix. The plastic part that slides that holds the umbrella up split. There is a screw at the elbow that can easily be removed. Get a piece of pvc that will fit over the plastic piece. It works great. I also contacted Best Choice regarding this issue and sent them a picture so they knew what piece I was talking about. They offered to refund it or replace IF I boxed and returned the umbrella. I didn't have the box anymore so I went back and forth arguing that I would return it when I received the replacement. I finally gave up, figured out how to fix it and then let them know I fixed it and never mind. Then I received a message saying that they will refund or replace and I didn't have to return the one that was broken. I now have 2 umbrellas!! My suggestion is to get a piece of PVC and put it over the plastic piece that holds up the umbrella BEFORE if breaks. It is easy. You will be happy. I do hope that Best Choice will change that piece in the future. Even if they don't fix the piece it is worth the money. Update received the replacement the part that broke on the first one was missing. They still say they cant send the part. The pvc does work but not as well without the part. Not sure i would buy from them again.

Not sure why all the negative reviews. It’s very sturdy easy to assemble and great valve for the money!! this umbrella is the best one we have bought. We have bought a lot throughout the years! and this one is better than all the rest. Bolted right into the concrete where we was replacing the previous one -beside pool steps and no complaints. We never leave our umbrellas up through storms or windy days. To assure no damage is done to them. The dark gray color is wonderful and hasn’t faded at all provides excellent shade and the solar lights are great. They are white bright lights and come on and go off when we click button like all other solar umbrellas. Provides lots of shade any way you turn it ! Wonderful product! We don’t use the stands or sand bags these umbrellas are used best bolted into concrete or wood structures 😎

I love this umbrella. Hence 5 stars. But the lights are just little fairy lights. Kinda cute, but not too practical. I guess if it's pitch black outside they might give off a little glow, but really... they just delineate where the umbrella is. Which, at night, is kinda unnecessary unless you're 7' tall. They're cute, though. And being solar they're no fuss. That given, it is HUGE and stable. I'm a 63 year old woman and I put it up no problem. I put 2 50# bags of kiddie sand on the base. I know you can buy fancy bags, but I'm more the simplicity type, and that was at hand. I sit under it with my coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine (or 3) in the afternoon, not having to move my chair every five minutes to stay under a teeny umbrella, and think: "I shoulda got this a long time ago."

This umbrella is very esthetically pleasing, easy to assemble, easy to use and a great plus is the customer service. See, the solar lights on my umbrella didn’t work, I reached out to customer service and they did an A++ job of helping me trouble shoot the problem. They were not only extremely courteous but direct to the point of what I need to do to try to get the lights working. A couple of secondary comments: make sure you have weights to hold the feet down, especially if you live where it is windy or even breezy. Secondly, have someone help you lift the umbrella as it is heavy and a little awkward.

We didn’t have the money to buy a really nice hefty umbrella for a deck because we have some other projects that need to be done first but we wanted to be able to enjoy our outdoor space so we got this. It is super cute and easy to use. The issue that I have is the fact that we had to actually bolted to the deck because it is not as sturdy is I would’ve liked and it does move quite a bit so you have to make sure you hold it when you are closing it. Also I wish the lights were brighter but for how much it is compared to what the expensive umbrellas are like I think for the money this is probably good.

The instructions were very straightforward - we were able to put it together in about 20 minutes and just needed a simple wrench. The umbrella is huge, beautiful and I think we paid a fair price for what we received. I love the solar lighting feature it makes it extra special. Should be noted that this does not come with a weighted base - you do need to buy that separately. It has a stand/base but nothing weighted. We purchased in the beautiful ocean blue color and it really pops. =)
