This travel mug is okay. I like that the top has a flip open design that is pretty easy to clean with no secret corners for mold to grow in. The top screws on and it fairly leak proof so long as you don't tip it entirely over or try throwing this in your bag. The top is easy to open but doesn't have a locking system to keep it closed against determined toddlers, big dogs, rough roads or other potential mess makers. Most annoying the flip top has a pointy bit that is supposed to sit in the air vent hole when closed. Sounds like a understandable design feature to keep it from leaking, right? Except when the top is open, this rather pointy bit of the lid sits right where your nose hits when you try to drink from the mug. So with every sip, you are bashing your nose into pointy plastic. This is super fun if you manage to forget that it's there. It makes the entire mug into a sip with caution experience. And I don't even have that large of a nose. On the plus side, it's easy to clean being wide enough that I can get my adult sized hands inside it to scrub it out. It keeps things hot for a few hours but isn't as good as other travel mugs I've had before.

Although my husband has enjoyed this travel mug, we can no longer use it with the outside finish peeling. Unfortunately, we are unable to return it as the window to do so only allowed for 30 days. We've had it for less than six weeks. Oh well. :(
