Does the job

I only gave this item 4 stars, because while I love having a digital piggy bank, it doesn’t register every single coin you put through the slot and or the correct value of the coin. It’s right about 80% of the time but I actually have to watch as I’m putting money in it to make sure the display shows the correct amount and I can adjust accordingly if it doesn’t register it correctly. But at the same time it wasn’t a very expensive item so it’s not bad for what it costs.

The coin counter doesn't trigger sometimes, but otherwise a good coin jar.

I like it. It's easy to use a little slow when trying many coins at a time but it's nice I really like it

I bought 4 coin jars as Christmas gifts and one of them counts nickels as quarters.

This product came with a sheet for basic instructions and a little screwdriver for the battery compartment. The lid is powered by two AAA batteries.The jar part is pretty good plastic that I trusted to not spontaneously tear, whereas the lid is a bit tougher for my tiny delicate fingers to push the coins through (though I suppose thats why its suggested for boys and adults. I'm an adult woman with the hand size and strength of a girl child.)It determines the coin value by size of course. The accuracy is on point for quarters and nickels. I've found that it reads pennies and dimes less accurately. Sometimes it wouldn't read them at all. Though to be honest I was putting alot of coins through in quick succession so that may have something to do with why it wasn't always reading them correctly. I'm fine with this as I just needed a ballpark idea of the coins that I already had. So if you don't need insane accuracy I'd say this works.I don't know about the long term battery life for this. Have been using it for a couple days and satisfied.
