Got this bank for our two year old grandson it does keep count of money but is kinda hard for him to put the coins in the slot.

This product can be useful, but it read a dime as a penny and then when I went to use the +/- to adjust, they didn’t work so now the count of the total change is incorrect and to correct it I’d have to empty it and redo it all. That’s a bit frustrating but other than that, for the price i can see it being a decent way to keep an approximate tab on what you’re saving.

It was counting at first but now its not.

The leaver that you push the coins through is hard. you need muscle to push the coins through. The bigger the harder it is. I gave it to my brother.

For the price and quality, this counter is a step or two above the random type of version of it you might find on a site like 'WISH' dot com. Although it is easy to unpack and start using right away, the counting mechanism is woefully inaccurate, as it randomly misses catching a coin's passing upon insertion of multiple coins in a row (10 or more at a time). What's more, the material of the jar itself feels like a low-grade plastic, and not at all pleasant to handle (in my experience). If you're just looking for a convenient way to store your coins, you're better off buying an old BALL canning jar and retrofitting the lid with a coin slot. If you want an accurate and somewhat more dependable counting experience, you're better off getting a more bespoke single-purpose coin counter. This product does both things poorly.
