My small apartment has baseboard heating and they are both located right under the widows (makes sense) anyhow my electric bill doubles in the winter so I thought I would give this a go. Didn't help at all it's a hassle to send it back hopefully I will find someone that will put it to good use.

I wanted this to heat up a family room, at least half of it. But you have to be within 3-4 feet, even at its highest setting, to feel the warmth. I will say, if you have a very small room, it will heat the overall room up. So it's good for a 14x14 or 12x12 or some kind of small kids room. But it also eats up a good amount of electricity, so you will pay for that benefit. I got a parabolic heater now. Works way better and uses 1/3 less electricity. So much for small radiator heaters.

I ordered this heater for the sun room where my pets like to retreat. I have a smaller heater that I already use, but with the impending freezing weather in Texas, I wanted to get something that would be suited for lower temperatures. Unfortunately, this heater did not heat up the sun room at all! I had to break out the smaller heater I used before and it warmed the room much, much better than this one. I thought with this unit being bigger and based on the reviews, it would perform better but it didn't make a dent with the freezing temperatures. I love the look of this heater but that's where my satisfaction ends. So disappointing.

When my heat went out, I borrowed an electric radiator. It worked very well, so I set out to purchase one of my own, but the model I had no longer was for sale. (My ancient furnace needs a part that apparently is hand knit in the Himalayas.) Despite being the same wattage and with very similar specs, this heater did almost nothing to improve the ambient temperature in the room. The fins are almost paper thin, so it's less ambient heat and more direct area heat. In other words, there's almost no oil in the thing to give off heat. I'm not yet sure -- other than price -- how to find an electric radiator that actually radiates heat. I'll come back when I figure out the spec that makes the difference.

I made a mistake and bought 3 of these. They get warm, but hardly heat a room. I have a bathroom that's 8'x6' and this thing can't even heat the bathroom. I can see my breath, but the heater is warm just doesn't circulate or heat up enough to heat the room. I put 3 of them in my basement when it got down to 12 degrees out, and my pipes still froze, and my basement isn't that big. Save yourself the trouble and just get a ceramic heater or something more efficient.

I already have one of these heaters. The silver one. It works pretty well. This year is extra cold, so I bought another one. I went with the black model because it was less expensive. When I got it, I see it’s not the same unit! It’s awful. 3 hours and the room temp went down, not up. The black model should be listed separately! It’s completely different in look & power. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Go with the one of the other choices.

I was so happy to get myself a little heater for my garage, which is finished and used as an office/workshop. Admittedly, the garage is not as well insulated as a house, but this heater says the product description says "It’s sized heating for larger rooms like family rooms, living rooms, bedrooms or even basements." With the heat at max, and the temperature outside at about 40°F, I could barely keep my feet warm wearing only socks, and my feet just a few inches from this heater. After running the heater for a few hours, with the doors shut, I asked my wife to go into the garage to see if she could feel any warmth in the area of the heater, and she said she could not feel any difference from outside to standing in the area where the heater had been running at max for a few hours. Only until she stood directly next to the heater did she notice any heat. Being too cold, she went back into the house. I stayed at my desk, and tried to keep my feet warm. This heater doesn't live up to it's claims.
