This heater gets hot!! It does an excellent job of warming the bathroom in my 100 year old, uninsulated farmhouse. I use it a lot. That being said this will burn you if you touch it for an extended time. I know what your thinking, why would anyone do that?!?! Well I’m anemic, have been for years. I passed out in the bathroom and burned my head on the heater because when I fell my head was against it. Just something to bear in mind if you live with people who fall. They could get burned if they are unable to move away from the heater. Luckily I was not severely burned it swelled up for a few days and healed without scarring. I still use the heater, I just take extra precautions when I’m feeling bad.

Or enough heat

Doesn't heat as well as it should I didnt think so anyway. Should have a small circulating fan on it.

The heat output isn't the best. Control setting is for 3 different watts temp, but not even the highest 1500w gives off a lot of heat. Warms up a small enclosed room. Much smaller than I thought it would be.

Its nearly impossible to get a good oil-filled heater anymore. These are 30% smaller and has real thin and cheap metal that bends easily. I doubt this will last for years like my 1998 model. I should've spent more $$$ and got a better brand, but you can't trust these sellers anymore to speak the truth.

The only way to turn this on is to reach down to where your wall outlet is and plug it in. To turn it off, you have to reach down to the wall outlet and pull the plug out of the wall while this thing is actively putting out heat. I don't know about you but, I do not shut my home appliances off by pulling the plug... that sounds DANGEROUS. Imagine turning your hair dryer off by pulling the plug while it's running. Imagine turning your microwave oven on and off by pulling the plug. What the heck? Buyers remorse here. Also, there is NO INFORMATION on the instruction booklet on how to contact this company, no phone number, no address...nothing. I had no idea this item was shipped from Canada. I just assumed this company was in the United States.

Used in the 10x12 he-shed, man-cave, etc. Heats softly/evenly but gets very hot to the touch on the fins (measured 220 degrees Fahrenheit on the 1500 watt HIGH setting. Follow the manufacturer WARNING on leaving three feet of space around this heater when it is on. Three heat settings for effective energy management. Installed on a 120v thermostat controlled circuit so no feedback on the internal t-stat on the radiator unit. Simple design without all the chip based gizmos that tend to wear out prematurely. 11142022 UPDATE; Heater Fins gets HOT (over 220 degrees F) which I venture is good for a heater but a word of caution for those with small children or curious pets. Again; On the highest setting (1500 watts) the fins exceed 220 degrees F and the control panel case end was measured at over 160 degrees F. Low setting (600 watts) reads at 150 degrees F at the fins and 120 degrees F on the control panel case end. I used a Fluke IR Thermometer to take these heater surface temperature measurements. Wattage on low was approximately 610 watts and 1440 watts on high so the unit appears within spec and not defective. Also, within first hour usage the fin paint and/or internals off-gas enough to make a noticeable paint smell and haze in a well insulated 10x12 room. This smell and haze dissipated after a few hours of initial usage (no oil leaks noted). Vent your area well upon initial startup. 11122022 Two stars off for the lack of an answer from the MANUFACTURER on the "normal temperature" of the heater fins and casing surface temperature question that I posted; this answer should be readily available from UL/ETL product safety testing (& not result in a buried review - think SAFETY). Obviously, candor from the manufacturer is important when rating for longevity and safety. Look for reviews that follow up from actual purchasers/users to truly gauge a product's value and safety. Again, see my temperature readings above in the name of safety for your particular situation/usage - 220 degrees F as a fin surface temperature is definitely not safe at the high/1500 watt setting IF small curious children or pets are in close proximity to this heater. Funny how the Vine review is a five star with no actual readings of surface temperature? Safety first, fellow Amazonians. Hopefully, my now buried follow up review helps others with their decisions on this heater. Rate helpful accordingly for my actual in-person completely uncompensated research of this heater, thanks. You mileage may vary...

This was my second purchase but couldn't attach wheel because of bending and risk of crack.
