Disclaimer: It’s only been one day of use. Will update after using it this winter. Our home heats really unevenly. We have standard central heating, and we set it to 69 upstairs and downstairs it has been 59. We turned on this heater and put it in the center of our living room (just under 300 sq feet) and within a few hours it’s been holding steady at 65 degrees. We have it at medium power and high heat. It’s not a closed room, the stairs and a hallway are to the right so I’m sure that effects how well the heat stays trapped in this area. But we feel so much more comfortable downstairs! Very pleased so far.

TD:DR No wifi smartnesses or other modern bells & whistles. Basic needs = basic solutions = this basic model, basically. Cons 1. WHOLE Unit gets super hot. Can feel the radiating heat ~ 10inc circumference. Solution : place in an open space. Annoyance 1. Plastic smell- Takes more than 12 hrs to heat off 2. Subtle clicks~ 3-5 times /hr. Temp monitors /regulators probably 3. Power cord connects from the front vs rear—understandable designwise but still. 4. Wheels lack a locking mechanism. Pros 1. Relatively quick . On high within - 17 minutes the chill start to disappear, 48 minutes start getting toasty (12 x12 room). 2. All other features ie quiet, trip protection etc on point. 3. Electric draw after 2 months 12hrs /day use seems reasonable (vs heating whole house). Go for it.

Our use case is to get my room warm before bedtime (and occasionally through the night). We turn the heat way down overnight. Pros: - Heats a 12x15 bedroom very effectively. - TBD on what it will do to my electricity bill, but I’m hoping it’ll shave something off in comparison to fan heaters I’ve been using. - The safety OFF works as expected. I woke up one morning to the unit having turned itself off. Not sure why. I didn’t have any electrical outage or anything. Cons: - Contrary to the marketing, it DOES get very HOT to the touch. I’m very careful to keep it away from walls, furniture, flammable items, etc. I definitely would not recommend this be used around children or pets! - Heat controls aren’t great. Forget trying to maintain a specific temp. Just turn the knobs, hope for the best, and adjust as needed. I bought a separate unit because I really wanted a remote control and programmable on/off timer. - It rolls way too easily when adjusting the knobs. When it’s on you have to be careful about what part to touch to stabilize it while making knob adjustments. The casters should be able to be locked for safety purposes.
