Always wore 505s for many years, heard a lot of poor reviews on the "new" Straight fit vs Original fit. I ordered one pair online because it is hard finding 33 waist in the stores. I got that pair and they fit great. So I ordered 2 more identical pairs... very disappointing, the waist must be a 35 and the thighs are so tight they basically pull my pants down as I walk,,, the other real quality issue on both these 2 latest pair is the seam on the outside of the right leg runs like a corkscrew down the front of my leg. It starts like it should on outside right hip but by the time it is down to my ankle it has totally crossed over to the inside of my leg. and both pair have this defect after washing, mkakes me nervous about ordering more.
BeltLoop
I bought these jeans for my husband for Christmas (4 pairs). The first day he wore a pair, the belt loop broke. The nex pair he wore, the belt loop broke. :(

I have been wearing levi jeans for 45 years and have never had a poor fit except for these jeans. I bought two pair and now I want to return the one that I have not warn yet.

36x32 (waist x inseam) - perfect in the legs, crotch, and length - but baggy in the waist. 550 relaxed fit, 35x32 perfect in the waist, tight in the legs. Ugh.

I have been buying the same style 505 and the same size for 30 years. The two pairs I recently purchased feel lighter than usual. It is as if they were manufactured with a lower thread count. I even have a pair that I have been saving for years, which feel like a higher quality. I used to think they were the best jeans on the market. Now I am not sure and will be looking for jeans like the Levis I use to buy.

Something has changed in that they sit below your waste now which I find very uncomfortable. Otherwise they fit well.
Deeppockets
I have worn this stile for years. My new pair has pockets that are not as deep as previous pairs. The deep pockets were one of the things that put these a cut above the competition. I will be looking for another brand with deeper pockets.

I grew up wearing only one brand of jean and never thought I would stray. That brand was Levis but because of fit and quality issues I walked away from Levis. So here I am 14 years later finding myself wondering if things have changed, so I ordered 1 pair of 505 regular fit rigid. I'm a blue collar working class guy that is very brand loyal, once I find a product that works I stick with it. I think I may be back, however there are a few things that I have found disappointing. First off are the front pockets, they aren't deep enough and not nearly as deep as I remember. This is a big deal to me because I carry a iPhone 6 plus and it barely fits. This is the single issue that is preventing me from ordering more jeans. Second is the denim thickness. These are supposed to be 14.75oz. jeans but they just don't feel that way. The fit is great and the overall quality is good but the issue with the small pockets really bugs me. So I am still trying to decide if I should go all in and order more. Levis, bring back the bigger pockets and I'm all in.
Levis59
I have worn Levi's for 50+ years, specifically 505s for 10+ years. The most recent order is disappointing. Fit is satisfactory, but the fabric is less dense and the pockets are not as deep. Just to check, older 505s were retrieved to compare. Jeans from a year+ ago are a heavier fabric and pockets are thicker and deeper. Levis, if you must raise prices, but do not skimp on quality. I ordered 3 pair, 2 are still unopened but will be worn.
