I purchased these jeans making the assumption (you know what they say about assuming) that they were the same as Regular fit that I last purchased. They are not. The rise is shorter and the legs are narrower. They are not nearly as comfortable as the Regular fit I am used to. I will not be buying any more Levis jeans unless I can find some that are like the ones I am used to.

If you want the original fit and fabric of the 505 jeans, get the 517 style. I have only 2 complaints about the 517. 1) only available with boot cut. 2) No "dark stonewash" color is available.

This was my first time trying a black pair of jeans, and I didn't care for the look of them at all. I'm going to try a different fit of jeans because these did not suit me.

I have owned only levis for over 40 years. I have for the last 20 bought 505's Recently bought a pair and couldn't figure out why they sat so low as compared to my older jeans. Then I realized the new jeans only have 5 belt loops instead of the normal 7. This makes a huge difference in the overall fit. went back to the store and found out that this was the case on the others they had in stock. PLease go back to the 7 belt loops. Thank you!

These 35x34 jeans are an inch larger at the waist than the 36x34 versions bought from Macy's and other Department stores. I bought 5 pairs on this order, and all were substantially larger than identical Levis from department stores (514s, and two versions of 505). I had lost a few pounds so that my half dozen pairs of 36x34 were all too big, but 34x34 at the Dept stores were too tight, so I bought online direct from the source, Levis.com, since that was the only place to offer the in-between size. Unfortunately, I think they just relabel the 36 waist as 35 to sell a few more pairs without having to change production. The 35s from Levis were larger than the 36 from the store. Either that, or the Levis production facilities really are off by a couple inches and they sell these seconds on the factory site. I did NOT buy these from an Outlet, but direct from the main Levis site.

WHEN I ORDERED MY JEANS IT SAID THEY WHERE THE HEAVY DENIM AND THEIR NOT, I DO NOT LIKE THAT LIGHT WEIGHT DENIM. SO I AM GOING TO RETURN THEM. DO YOU NOT HAVE THE HEAVY DENIM ANYMORE? I NEED THE HEAVY DENIM JEANS IN A 28-34 OR A 29-34 OR SOMETHING IN THAT SIZE IN HEAVY DENIM AND SLIM. THE PAIR I HAVE IS A 29-34 AND IT HAS A WHITE TAG ON THE WAIST IN THE BACK THAT SAYS STRAIGHT FIT.

These Levi's 505 jeans used to be well built but the last 3 pair I bought, the rise was lowered and cut into my abdomen when I sat down and tight in the crotch area. Two belt loops broke off readily on my recent pair (I wear a belt with them). So recently I went to my local western wear store and bought another brand of regular fit jeans and they had ample room, more comfort when seated and seem more durable. I've worn Levi's jeans my whole adult life, but if the quality keeps slipping, I will have to consider buying other brands. I'm not a young kid anymore and cant wear the lower cut skinny jeans anymore.

The product is okay. I was surprised that the same size I've worn for many, many years didn't fit the same buying from the online site. Not sure what changed. I'm the same size. I was also a little disappointed by the long delay between ordering and actually receiving the product. I guess I'm spoiled to other sites that can complete the process in less than a week.

Thank all the previous commenters who noted the change in the fit. I am a long time 505 wearer 36/30. I thought maybe I was going crazy when the last two pair of 505's I bought fit differently. They are definitely lower in the waist and while I am not close to being heavy they are very uncomfortable. I compared both pairs to a 3 year old pair I have and there is a definite difference. please go back to your traditional regular fit whatever that was, as I am totally confused now by your new sizing.

RUNS WAY SMALL! ORDERED SAME SIZE IN OTHER STYLE NUMBERS, BUT FIT IS NEVER CONSISTENT!
