I can find the oddball size that the stores seldom carry, but I'm not sure of the same quality, but the fit runs true to size.

I submitted a review for the Jet in which I asserted the knees were too tight, but for the tumbled rigid and blue canyon I find the fit to be fine. In fact, they measure out almost exactly like my old style 505s.

[Review for the Graphite Levi 505 - Size 31x30 - PC9: 005050716] I have a mixed opinion on these jeans, partly because I received a mixed order. One of the 2 pairs I received matched the style in the presentation photo used by Levi at the time, and had, most notably, a leather tag with black ink. These fit fairly tight, as to be expected from the other reviews on the site, and I returned them. The other pair, however, had the traditional red ink Levi tag (I've included a photo for clarity), and fit very differently. These fit more closely with what I had expected from my other experiences with the Levi 505, and, on a quick examination, were made of a different fabric than the black-tagged version, and had larger pockets. Had I received these alone, I think an excellent rating would have been appropriate, as they have become my favorite pair of Levi jeans. Nonetheless, my overall rating should probably reflect the nature of my experience with this order, as I cannot be sure which model I'd receive if I were to try and purchase more of these jeans. Thus, despite my satisfaction with one of the jeans I received, my overall rating is lower than the maximum.

Just wanted to update my review. After wearing these jeans ( really still want to call them pants...) for a while, I love them. they are comfortable and just pant-like enough that I can get away with wearing them pretty much everywhere. work, restaurants, even to court when I want to be casual. they go great with a shirt and tie or a t-shirt. superversatile. I wash them in cold and hang / lay them to dry. probably helps keep the color - though I have to say they haven't faded too much since I got them in December of 2014.

If you read Levi's size chart you'll see for whatever reason you have to upsize in the waist. Measure around your hips since 99% of guys wear their jeans/pants around their hips and not their actual waist. I suppose then if that's your thing measure your true waist. If that's the case the rise will be too short, but again, no one really wears jeans at their true waist. Cross-check your measurement with the size chart here. I measured 38 so I ordered a 40 (again, looking at the size chart) and my 505s and 501s fit fine. I knocked off a star because the front pockets are bit small. They're much bigger on the 550s FWIW. And if you should be able to order off your actual measurement and not have to upsize, but not a huge deal..

Tad baggy in the thigh, but it is technically as advertised

These are the best jeans, but it's impossible to find a pair that fit. 36x34 are about one inch too wide, and 34x34 are way too snug. I really need a 35x34 but since they don't have them in stock anywhere, and never have had them while shopping for them in the past, I'm forced to go and pay for special tayloring. PLEASE I BEG OF YOU LEVI!!! MAKE A 35x34!

A fine pair of jeans.. W34 -H32 They arrived at an appropriate time frame with no delays. When trying them on, they fit nicely and a little snug. Of course that's normal before them being broken in. They are straight legged just as described with no bending restriction due to them having a little spandex material. Although they could be a tad bit more loose near the ankles to flow down even better w shoes. However if one doesn't not mind, then it wont be an issue. Overall I am satisfied with them & would recommend them!

I'm really pleased with how these look and feel! Tried on 4-5 different men's Levis before settling on these--tried 510s, 511s, 514s, 501s, and 501 CTs. If you grew up wearing the original 501s, these 505s might be slightly closer in fit than today's 501s. I chose these over the 501s because I could lift my leg up higher than I could in those. The other models severely restricted movement. Material on the black 505s is thick, 100% cotton, which should wear well (be sure to check label for exact percentage as they're different from each other). I plan to wash my new jeans for the first time in cold w/ a cup of vinegar, to prevent fading. Front pockets deep. Though I am a woman, the measurements of these jeans come closest to my own--38" hips and 33" waist, so I didn't even bother trying on women's Levis. Butt is not baggy! These feel snug, but not tight. I'm 5'9"; 33 X 30 perfect size. Waistline falls right below my belly button.

95% of the jeans I've bought in my adult life have been Levis. Lately you have made the 505 pockets smaller. Why? just leave the design alone. It's not like you lowered the price after skimping. Please show more concern for the product than for shareholder value.
