So I bought this item thinking I could do a cute shoe project. If you go to the heat guide from cricut you’ll see that the easy press mini is not compatible with a variety of materials. For example, you can’t use the everyday iron on with cotton canvas (which almost every slip on shoe is made from). I don’t know what shoe they use in the model or what iron on material but I tried it and the vinyl didn’t stick on low and melted all over the shoes on the medium setting. I had to throw a new pair of shoes out. I’m no expert, but have had much success with the easy press 9x9 on everything I’ve used it on. It’s difficult with the mini because you cannot control the heat (it only has low, medium, and high). Why would I want an iron that has limited capabilities and doesn’t work with MANY materials?? I’ll stick to my larger easy press and leave this for corners, but as of now it’s in the closet collecting dust.

I loved this little iron, it was so handy with my embroidery projects. When I used it yesterday, it kept turning off, but it was still super hot, and continued to get hotter, so hot it melted the thread in my embroidery project. I unplugged. Will not use again, I don't trust it.

Stopped working. I rarely use it, in fact since I bought it I only used it a hand full of times and in the middle of pressing something it stared to beep as if it was overheating.

Used the mini very little. It was gone out in less than 7 months. It flashes red lights then turns off. Very disappointed.

I loved the mini press but only used it a few times. Now it will not heat up and lights turn red and beep. So frustrating. Only had for 10 months but used MAYBE 5-6 times for a total of 25 minutes in all. Don’t waste your money.

I did love this little mini press...... It was working great until I just plugged it in to use it and now it is flashing red and making a beeping sound. I researched the error and this seems to be a common issue with this mini press. I followed the instructions to unplug and let it rest for 30 seconds and it is still making the beeping sound and flashing red on the temperature. Unfortunately returning :(

I must have a defected one because it won’t even turn on, brand new right out of the box. So disappointing!

Doesn't last long before it begins blinking a red light and won't work

I have had this mini for a year. I hardly ever use it. Today I turned it on and started to use it when lights went from green to orange. It stayed orange for a few minutes, went to red and then shut off. It is a known problem with all the easy presses. The temperature gauge quits working and the press gets too hot. Why there isn't a recall is beyond me as this certainly seems like a safety hazard. I will not be buying another one.

I bought this a year ago and used a couple of times. I went to use it yesterday. The lights were green but as I was using it changed to orange then red then shut off. I unplugged it, waited, then plugged back in. The sequence was the same. Research shows the Easy Press in general is known to overheat. Why is there no recall? Why not fix the problem? This is a fire hazard.
