Cheaply made and very delicate. $300 bucks doesn’t get you very far anymore.

Honest Review

For the price I would have given this 5 stars, however I have had mine for 2 days and I already have had issues. I don't know wether to contact the manufacturer or Amazon. I also do not want to have to ship them back to get new ones because the boxes are already destroyed. I bought two of them, black and pink, for my kids. They arrived in very rough shape. There is almost no padding on the inside and it looks like the boxes were dropped and thrown a few times. The lights are all popped out but one and other things like that. My daughters steering wheel comumn looks like it took a hit and her steering wheel comes off constantly because the plastic clip that should hold it in are broken. The battery in one lasts for a grand total of 7 minutes of continuous driving before it's dead and fortunately the back of the jeep has a bar to assist you in carrying it home. The battery is shot, but it came inside The car so how do you go about asking amazon to send you a part and not have to send the entire car back? The second battery is not any better, the moment the power level dropped there is not enough torque to get moving again. The remote idea is great. My daughter loves getting driven around. Unfortunately the remote for my son's stopped connecting with the jeep after the first 10 minutes. Fortunately he can drive himself but I bought this mostly for the emergency power off ability. Also, I can't change his speed now because the remote will not connect. So, no remote for his car. The seat belt is not good enough for a vehicle that can bounce as much as this. I will be looking into a better multipoint harness. The tires are big. Yes, they take more torque, but they also let the kids go over some good sized bumps without mommy or daddy having to constantly get them out. There is a rubber tread that goes around the center of each tire. They are lose and come off easily and without warning. Going to have to glue them down. I have read a few reviews on doing a battery upgrade and adding a battery meter. I also suggest drilling a drain hole for spilled fluid in the floor compartment.

Fun while it lasts - problem is it doesn’t last

Rarely used and less than two years old. Already does not work. Don’t waste your money.

Work good but made with cheap parts. Broke in 2 months

My 1 year old baby love it and work great. But it was made with real cheap part and it broke 2 months later. I called and they said I have to purchase a other only and I will only get 33% back. Just imagine a one year old baby was to heavy for this .

Battery ( or something else electrical ) did not last.

Bought this as a birthday present for our 3 year old great grandson. Loved the idea of the remote so I could ride him around in it. Charged the battery and had it ready on his birthday. It worked pretty well, but had to reprogram the remote to the truck several times. Great grandson went home after visiting a couple days, he lives about 100 miles away and there is no place for him to use it by their apartment. His next visit was about a month later. The day before he arrived I tried to get the truck ready for him but appeared the battery was dead. Hooked up the charger and left it. Tried the truck after about 6 hours, NOTHING, Tried it again after 12 hours, NOTHING. Either the battery is dead or there is some other electrical malfunction. I have been busy getting a new home finished so we could get moved in, finally have it done so Some day I will dig out my Multi-meter and see if I can figure it out but for now I'm just pissed. For the price I would have expected more than 2 days of enjoyment for my great grandson. He did love it when it worked. In Amazon's defence, I never contacted them, but it still should have lasted longer considering what we paid for it. The friends who recommended it to us bought one and they love it and have had no problems, so I would say if you get one or not is your judgement.

Good, should be better

My 2 main complaints: 1- the seat belt goes over my sons knees. It doesn’t even go over his lap because of where it’s positioned. There’s no reason it can’t be, and should be, moved back on the seat to be a “lap belt”. A 3 or 5 point harness would be fairly easy to accomplish, but they dropped the ball here for sure. 2- turning with the remote times out after 2 or 3 seconds. So to make a U-turn or complete 360 you need to press the button repeatedly. The speed doesn’t time out, why does the turn?? This is extremely frustrating and the largest reason for my rating. Additional note- adding the option for a second or larger capacity battery would be nice. Have to DIY if you want to add more battery life between charging.
