Let me start by saying that this thing is over priced for a piece of concrete. Now what I noticed.... Mine had either chips or spots where it looked like they tried to sand out imperfections leaving a larger imperfection. If it weren't for these imperfections, it would make a nice gift, but I'm not so sure at it's price point. It works fine, but dang is it expensive for some concrete.. When it gets a bit warmer, I'm going to try and make one myself to see how it turns out.. If making one ends up harder than I thought, I'll revise this review to calculate labor into the cost these currently sell for.

The item arrived on time and with no damage. The description called for, "CLEAN BURNING FUEL: Use Only 70%, 91% or greater Iso-propyl alcohol as fuel." I used 99.9% isopropyl alcohol and it didn't burn clean. Instead it left a black soot all over the inside and around the top. I asked a question in the comments section and the seller stated that they suggest 70% or 91% and that 99.9% will leave soot. They should take the words, "or greater" out of their description. I will water down the 99.9% and try again. I can say with using the 99.9% (I don't know if it is different with a lower %) the flame is fantastic and with the well filled to almost the top, lasts for almost an hour. I do think that for a concrete bowl the price is a little high. Overall if the lower % burns clean and the flame is as good as that of the higher %, I would recommend buying.

It's a concrete cup with a felt coaster glued to the bottom. If you feel comfortable shelling out $75 for something that you could make for about $3, go for it...I sure did. The truth is that you can buy a 60 pound bag of Quikrete for about $4, including tax. You can make about 15 of these things with this amount, to be honest. That's a 28,125% profit. Of course, I'm not figuring in the piece of felt, the glue and the time required to mix, pour and smooth the concrete, packaging, marketing, insurance, payroll, etc. That probably brings the profit down to around 25,000%. But, with all that being said, it is a nice little product that performs the way it's advertised.

So this is really a cute table top fire bowl and it burns nicely. Very easy to initiate with rubbing alcohol. However, it’s way overpriced ($60) for literally just a tiny concrete bowl and it burns for less than 30 mins... so you will use a lot of rubbing alcohol.
