Good battery with 10 year shelf life. A step above the Alkaline Batteries.

I'm not an expert here, but I think the voltage on these is confusing my smoke detectors. The idea of replacing them less often was top on the list, but after replacing one it didn't like it. Okay for a while, then beep, beep. The battery is still fully charged, but because it's not the same top voltage as lithium the smoke detector thinks the battery is low.
.* Paradox *.
I've used lithium 9V batteries in the past and this one seems to be on par with the others. The problem I have is these batteries have a 10 year shelf life. That is, if you get decently new stock. While I understand some months can pass between production and sale, causing this 10 year number to go down a little, going down to 7 years and 8 months is ridiculous.I received a battery that has a date of 1/2031 on it. It is now mid April 2023. When your inventory is getting old Amazon, discount the price and move them out instead of shipping people over 2 year old batteries and making them pay full price.

Note that the terminals are slightly shorter on these than on traditional Eveready or Duracell brands. If your device has a "wire & clip" or "open" type connection, you are probably fine. If it goes into a holder that slides into the device (e.g. my Takamine 12-string guitar), the terminals are not long enough to make contact. In the device I was able to use these in (Fishman ToneDEQ Preamp ), the life was GREAT.

I purchased these batteries myself- they were not obtained through Amazon Vine. I'm switching over many of my batteries to lithium, even with the added expense, if the product is infrequently used, difficult or inconvenient to change the batteries, or would benefit from a longer lasting battery. Unlike alkaline batteries, lithium batteries rarely, if ever, leak so they are perfect for items which you only occasionally use, or products that would be expensive to replace if destroyed. Yes, 9V batteries are expensive, especially lithium batteries, yet these are about half the price of the Energizer 9V lithiums. The batteries I received were freshly dated. Though the advertised shelf life is great, I can't attest to the realized shelf life or the useful life of the batteries yet. This is my first Amazon branded product and I am quite pleased with it so far.
