Not a bad kit, but I’m disappointed that there was not glitter in the kit as advertised.

This came with zero instructions. Like, none at all, nothing. I guess you just figure it out on your own. .

No glitter! Package is shown with a bottle of glitter. Not in either kit I purchased. Shouldn't be advertised as included when it isn't.

Cute kit and we had fun. But not so much “soap making” as “soap melting and dying”. The kids enjoyed the craft and are very proud of their soaps. Came with everything we needed.

The kit looks cool and is packaged well, but only came with 3 of the 4 shapes. The directions says it includes 2 of each 4 shape, but we only got 4 molds (3 different shapes). The fragrances look as if a lot has leaked out. Would not buy again.

We used water bath instead of microwave because we don’t have one and it worked well, the biggest problem was the colors packaging as it was extremely hard to open or even create a hole for the color to drop, by that time the soap base dried out and we had to melt it again and the colors were still impossible to use unless you cut the plastic !!! So I went and used food coloring I had because my child was getting very restless! The few fragnance dropper was also poorly made and was shorter than the little amount of perfumed oil in the tiny bottle. Other than that everything else was good 👍 it melted very quickly and my daughter is happy

In hindsight, I don't think a soap making kit is the best idea for little kids. Unless you have four microwave safe measuring cups with handles laying around, all the kids get to do is drop in the color, glitter and scent and then tell you where to pour it. You definitely have to heat it up to a higher degree than what they tell you, otherwise it'll start solidifying before you even get to mix the color in and you can feel it right through the little plastic beakers. Doesn't make for a lot of hands on time for kids. The scents are of surprisingly good quality. All in all, it's cute, you can make probably 2 of soaps of each mould but not very kid friendly and you're done before you know it. My 8 year old daughter is looking forward to gifting a few of them to her dad for Father's Day, but she doesn't seem to be very interested in trying it again. She definitely expected to get to do more with it than what she ended up being able to.

I don't think I'll ever hear of the soap-making that was done. Only, because the children were too overwhelmed at Christmas. I can say that the middle daughter did carry it around for a while, looking it over.
