I already have 2 irons with this brand name, and changing hair styles I needed a larger barrel. Best price for this item. Same brand my hairstylist uses. Very durable. Only 4 stars because this was noticeably opened and possiblly used. The packaging was carelessly torn, for both the box and the inner plastic bag. My other 2 irons came with a replacement spring, but there wasn't one in this open box. I'll still buy from this site if the item is well priced, but will watch for open box connotation. This item was listed as new, if my memory is accurate. Shipping was very fast, only 3 days!

I received the Hot Tools curling iron and Hot Tools Pro Artist Curl Protector from Stellar Product Testing Panel and what a great product! It heats up quick. I lived that it had switches and a turn knob instead of buttons. Makes great curls that held most of the day. The heat protection spray that came along with it made my hair shinny and sleek looking without a dry brittle. My only wish for it would be that it rotates on its own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve never styled my hair much in the past because I didn’t know what I was doing, but this was so easy to use it made styling my hair so much easier and my hair looked beautiful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 1.5 inch curling iron is well made which gives me the perfect sized curls. It can be adjusted to various heat setting and takes less than a minute to heat up. The results are long lasting. My hair is quite thick so I know this curling iron works well once my hair is set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off I didn’t realize how big the actual curling iron is, but it’s okay. It’s easy to use, and easy to turn up or down the heat with the dial. I love that it is a swivel cord. One thing I wasn’t a fan of was how short the actual cord is though. I would prefer it to be longer than what it is. If you are looking for big loose curls, this curling iron is great for you. I love that the knobs for the power and heat settings are off to the side. I don’t have to worry about turning off the iron while using it or accidentally pushing a button to change the heat settings. It’s a great curling iron and I highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Hot Tools curlers are still excellent for my hair a month after I bought them. I love how they are simple to hold and have a great grip on the handle. My hair had beautiful, strong curls thanks to the curling iron, and I was able to do it more quickly. These curling irons heat up to 430F, so be cautious to gradually increase the temperature to suit the texture of your hair. The styling procedure was incredibly quick and simple, and every time my hair got exactly what I wanted with a complete head of curling curls that also lasted. These Hot Tool Curlers are wonderful overall, and I'm considering getting another one in a smaller size to curl my daughter's hair.

These don’t really get hot, I own a pair of Babyliss curling iron and the Babyliss get hotter then the Hot Tools. It’s nothing pro about these curling iron.

Nice big barrel but the rubber handle started decomposing after 4 years. Very unpleasant to hold a sticky handle while styling hair so I had to throw it away.

I don't have a lot of experience with curling irons or curling hair, but I feel like some things about this one could be better. Pros: Good temperature range, adjustable temperature, heats up fast, reduces frizz (really well actually; my hair was pretty frizzy when I started and it smoothed down beautifully), created nice loose curls/waves, looks nice. Cons: The handle to open and close the clip is mostly metal, and gets hot right up to the plastic. The metal part sticks out really far from the barrel and I was having a hard time not burning myself on it when it ended up close to my head. The adjustable temperature was nice, but the dial was confusing and made it hard to tell what the temp was actually set to. The little stand was VERY small and I was nervous about how close the hot iron sat to my counter when I set it down. The on/off switch is easy to bump and I accidentally turned it off once while in the middle of curling my hair. It's a little heavy and unwieldy, although I have no idea how this compares to other irons. Overall: It worked, would probably be a reasonably good iron if it's the right price for you. The cons were not dealbreakers, just some things that could have been designed better.
