Excited by the unique control design and great amazon price, I chose to discount all the negative reviews in favor of the positive ones. Well the negative ones are very accurate and out weight positive ones, which are also fairly accurate. I found game chat balance to be almost non-adjustable on the headset control. I found mic-monitoring to be non-existent without the audio cable plugged into the controller. I agree with most positive reviews. I have been in contact with Microsoft support, after troubleshooting and console factory reset, they advise contacting Lucidsound. I will update if a successful resolution can be had. But, this device, as is, actually detracts from an otherwise fun experience.

Do not recommend buying this headset at all. It constantly experiences connection drops, static in the ear cups and other issues. Does not matter if I'm using my Xbox One, or the Xbox Series X, it always provides the same terrible experience. Not to mention, attempting to dial-in volume between the game sounds and chat volume is not easy at all, and you can never set it back to where it once was. Buy another headset.

The sound quality was ok but for the money the base should have been much much richer....the lows and mids were flat and I found my regular stereo headset sounded better. They also had terrible connection problems, fading in and out at random intervals. They would go completely out towards the end and that's why I returned them. Amazon was awsome about the return even though it was months after purchase! I love amazon for their customer service, it is second to none. So all and all unless u want to put up with sub par sound and connection problems I would not recommend these headphones. Spend a little less and get the turtle beaches or spend a little more and get the arctic 9xs.

I have had these for about 18months now. They came highly recommended, and I was very happy to get these. When I got them they would randomly drop audio, I didn’t think much of it as these were my first headsets. But I haven’t used them in the last few months due to them falling apart, each time I put them on or move them pieces fall off. Both sides are cracked the left side are WAY worse than the right side. The sounds is good. I wouldn’t say great. The mic is ok, not great. I’m probably going to go get a middle of the road priced set and not be upset if they fall apart like these are. I would definitely not recommend getting these.

Waited over a year for these & hyped them up to all my friends and what happens? These constantly disconnect from the xbox and reconnect over and over. I bought these because of the build and sound quality, even though I was happy with my Turtle Beach Stealth 700. The design, build quality and audio is all far above any other headset I have ever tried, but unfortunately, it just cant hold a solid connection at random times, the audio will flicker off and power cycling the headset and reconnecting to the xbox still does not help. All their customer service could say was for me to disable my 5ghz network? Wow, okay, let;s just disable my fastest wireless connection to get your headset to work. Negative, I'll just stick with my Stealth 700s that have no connection issues at all.

The feel of these is great. Top quality materials, and comfortable. Why 1 star? On the single task that a headset is supposed to do, these fail miserably. Audio drops out every 45 seconds. Firmware is supposed to be able to updated, but it requires a PC. If you have a Mac computer like I do, you're simply out of luck. How a company can only create firmware updates for PC, is beyond me. This is a company that doesn't take itself seriously. I bought these as I wanted something nicer than the Turtle Beach Stealth 600's I was using, but these are utterly awful. The product fails consistently, I have never gotten a straight 60 seconds of audio without it dropping. Go look at TB, or Astros, or Hypers or anything else, but do not waste your time with this product.

Update! less than a year after purchase. I’m just now getting around to this but after 10 months the headset started cracking in the plastic headband that goes near the ear pieces. This happened on Both sides and both sides broke completely shortly after. So, while they were great at one point, they didn’t last a year before completely snapping the plastic in BOTH sides of the headband. I love these. The surround sound is amazing and a must have for BR games. They are simple to use, very sturdy and comfortable, great mic quality, sound is loud and can be adjusted between game and voice chat with a simple twist of control. Highly recommend. They connect very easily to Xbox, Be sure to get the ones compatible with your system so you can use wireless. They have one specifically for Xbox and another for Playstation

Let me first start off by saying that the headphones are really nice, but the design is bad. The sound quality is average and the bass is just right. However, I'm not sure why they decided to use cheap plastic to hold the ear cups and headband together. It doesn't make sense on why you would use plastic on a part that requires flexibility and tension on it. I contacted LS and they're going to exchange it, but I'm still skeptic of it. I doubt the new one would last any longer. Also, I would like to add that these headphones were not used very often. I use it maybe once or twice a week for short period of time when I don't want to disturb the family. Unfortunately I am stuck with these since they won't give me a refund for it.

I wish I could return these but I held out hope for too long. Sound is good when it works, battery life is good when it works. Has very frequent drop-outs, and sometimes gets crackly sound that doesn't get better. Fingers crossed for a firmware update as the user-facing hardware is nice. Update: Still on the same firmware, latest as of 3/2/19. I really really wish I could return these. Or burn them, or sell them at a loss. Worst electronics purchase I've ever made. I moved my xbox to three feet away from me, and they still drop out. I also get controller dropouts, but only when I'm using this headset (never when I'm not using the headset). I've tried plugging them directly into my xbox via usb, but I don't think they get sound over usb, as I still get crackly sound with that setup.
