Great but not Perfect

On a scale 1-5 Style (looks) 5 Sound Quality 4 Comfort 3 Accessories 5 Build Quality 4 Battery Life 5 I have 2 other headsets to compare these with. The HyperX Cloud Alpha and the RIG 400 from Walmart. The LS35x is the heaviest and you can feel it on your head. I've had the headset for almost a week now and I haven't found a comfortable spot for it to sit on my head. The sound quality in my opinion isn't even as good as the HyperX even with Dolby Atmos enabled on my Xbox One X. Still a great sound that gets loud though. The volume wheel is amazing and one of my favorite parts of the headset. However on the opposite side, the chat mixer isn't so pleasent to operate and my center cap (mic mute) is so loose it wiggles around to where you can hear it when you tilt your head. All in all though this is a great headset that I'll be keeping! It's very stylish and has good sound and it checks all the boxes for wireless connectivity that I wanted.

Great overall quality

I have had these for about 4 months almost and they are great overall headset, especially for the price. The sound quality is true to the music when listening to your favorite songs and the microphone picks up just right. It is sensitive enough to hear your voice clearly even at a lower talking volume but does not pick up a lot of background noises like some brands tend to. They even connect to Xbox One wirelessly using the built in wireless frequency, so no dongle is required ever! The only thing I am starting to just notice a problem with is the earcups fabric is starting to wear at the outer edge already. Now i do sweat easy but even a pair i had before these which were half the price lasted me almost 4 years before the earcuffs started to tear. Even though they have a cooling layer on the ear side it doesn't help enough to combat heat buildup and I still sweat. Seems like they chose a material that is either too thin or not strong enough. All in all i still think they work better than most headsets on the market and the direct wireless connection to the Xbox natively is something i don't want to do without.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

This was worth the delay. The sound quality is amazing. I play FPS games and I can hear a firefight that is a ways away clearly. The internal mic is okay. I felt like I had to yell a bit for people to hear me. They said that it sounded like I was far away. So I only use the external/removable mic for chat. The volume and sound mix controls are easily accessed without much game interference. This can also be said about the sound and mic mute buttons. I'm glad there is a light on the external mic when it is muted. I tend to forget when I'm muted on other headsets. The onscreen prompt when the battery is low is good to have. It is the same prompt you get when the controller batteries are low. It synced with the Xbox easily. It tells you, onscreen, every time you turn the headset on that it has been paired. The USB cable that is included is rather short but is okay for charging when not in use. I have not used the audio cables that we're included so I don't know how those work. It's comfortable during use. And I use it for hours on end sometimes. There some sound issues when I first got it but those were cleared up with a firmware update. Overall this a great headset. I had a Turtle Beach headset before this and I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good wireless headset.

One of the Best, but Far from Perfect.

Ill try to keep this short. Overall the headset is nice. Decent build quality, and pretty good sound quality. I love how the headset connects directly to the xbox. If you turn off the xbox the headset is also turned off and vice versa. Battery life is decent but could be improved. However if i am being honest i think that wired headsets are better than wireless, i have tried nearly all wireless headsets and all suffer with the same problems, connection. The Bad: Could be more comfortable, im not a fan of the head strap. Wish it was like steel series with the elastic band, less pressure on your head, but overall not bad just wish it was better. CONNECTION!! all wireless headsets have this issue, sometimes they cut in and out. I despise this, this headset does it less than others but still does it nonetheless. Especially at low battery! Mic: While not the worst mic i have used, it is definitely not the best. Often my friends would complain that at times my mic makes it sound like i am underwater or has static. While not always the case, it can happen. Plus side is that the mic is detachable so i can get it replaced if it does break. Overall the headset is a nice choice but definitely not perfect, much to improve on, but compared to other sets it is great. This is just a short review, i have left out a bunch but its nice to know some flaws to consider. Just as a comparison, i have also owned the Astro A50's. And they had a MUCH worse connection issue than these. even on full battery i would often lose connection.

Best Headset Sound + Build Quality + Reliability

I pre-ordered these and waited through a couple of delays before they shipped. When I received them, they were plagued with all the issues you see in various reviews. They wouldn't turn on, they wouldn't stay connected, they would cut out constantly, they would die without warning. LucidSound support was awesome through the whole process. I was emailing them regularly and their head of engineering ended up calling me directly. They were dedicated to improving the product. So I stuck with them. I AM GLAD I DID. With the latest software update released last Oct / Nov, they work flawlessly. I use them all the time now, even for games I don't need the mic or intense surround sound. They sound amazing, very balanced and can be quite loud. I use them for games like PUBG, Red Dead Redemption, Dark Souls. They REALLY shine with games like Tomb Raider and Resident Evil 2 which can use Atmos. I only give them 4 stars because there are some odd issues that I would think they could fix easily. 1st; I wish there was a way to adjust the mic monitoring. I feel it's too soft. They have improved it with firmware, but wish I could adjust it. 2nd there does not appear to be a way to have the Party Chat volume lower than the Game Volume. The head of engineering states this is due to the Xbox software and the integration with the console, but I'm almost certain my Turtle Beach 600s could do that (and they use the same sync software). I hope this review helps someone on the fence. I think they are awesome and highly recommend them. I do just wish for the price you'd get all the possible adjustment features.

Almost WOW!

My first impression was WOW! But after a little use my opinion changed a bit. Don't get me wrong, these headphones sound great.I am very happy with the sound. It is clear with a very acceptable amount of bass. Nice for playing games, watching movies or listening to music. The only problem I have is with the dials for adjustments. The left dial which controls overall volume and the button to mute all works fine. It's the right dial I have a problem with. That dial controls the balance between Game Chat and Game sounds. It just doesn't work very well. you get to a certain point turning up Game chat and down on Game sounds and the sound just suddenly cuts off of the Game sounds, way before the dial reaches the stop.Maybe this is by design but if it is it's too soon.I listen to music while gaming and it's tough to get the music low enough without completely cutting off. Also when trying to turn back up you have to turn way back up and then down again to get a good balance. It's tricky at times. The only other thing is the Microphone monitor seems a bit loud with no way to adjust it. Other than that it's a great pair of headphones for the price.I'd probably purchase again.

80% of the Astro A50 at 50% of the price

I bought these on sale at 115 dollars and tried them out for about 2 weeks. First off these get plenty loud and the default EQ (since you cannot adjust) is really good for FPS games, I had no issues hearing footsteps, and this is coming from using A50's with a tweaked EQ for PUBG specifically. Sound quality was great, way better than the Turtle Beach 600 unit. Battery life was also excellent, I didn't track it, but they definitely lasted longer than my A50s. The problem I had with these, and the reason I didn't keep them is they didn't fit well on my head, I could never get a good seal around my ears and the headband just never felt right, they always kind of felt loose. The second issue was the controls/game & chat balancer. Maybe I got a defective unit, but it I could never turn the chat below 40% or so otherwise it would drop out completely. This was a deal breaker for me, as it left chat too loud for my liking. Mic quality was also a bit nasal sounding according to people I normally play with. The range was good and syncing up was super quick and easy. The firmware update wasn't, it took a few downloads to get a file that worked (server issues on their end?) but I did eventually get it updated. TL;DR: Audio Quality - On Par with Astro A50's Mic Quality - Clear but has nasal quality to it Build Quality - Solid, aside from chat/balance controls Battery Life - Excellent - Better than the A50s EQ - Doesn't have adjustment, didn't really find myself needing it though Fit - I'd say my head is average size, and these always felt loose. I'd recommend at the sale price or if you don't want to pay the additional money for the Astro A50s.

They're hot, heavy, and have a few quirks but the sound quality is ridiculously good.

I bought mine off Amazon somewhere around summer of 2019. They were simple plug and play with my Xbox One , meaning I've had these for about 2 years now. The sound out of these is fantastic. Turn on the Sony version of Dolby Atmos for free, and get to it. After turning on the Sony software my directional hearing is flawless. On cod there's lots of times people think I'm cheating or using high alert. The flaws I've had aren't near as bad as everyone else. If I were to try and use these with my phone, it'll automatically fire up my Xbox. It's annoying, and I haven bothered looking for a work around because of this next issue. These suckers are HOT! My ears are on fire after maybe 10 minutes. They are also a bit heavy. Other than those issues they're very comfortable. My power button is also a bit sticky- it pushes down into the cup tweaks off to a side and sticks. Rub your finger the opposite direction of the tweak, and you're back in business. For a headset that should cost 180$, these are a fantastic deal. They look good and perform well enough that I have no buyers remorse. Idk what's happening with them right now, or why they're having issues but this is my experience.

Great sound/volume for wireless xbox headset but wont last

[EDIT: After contacting customer support they asked for serial number, proof of purchase and few other things like pics of the damage and within 5 days I had a brand new pair at my door. I kept the old and taped them up and got two for the price of one! Certainly would have liked to not have been bothered to call/complain about a broken $150+ headset that I took incredible care of, within a month of purchase, but cheers for them fixing the issue from their end IMMEDIATELY. New ones held up so far but, of course since there's 2 in rotation, only using these specific ones half the time! After having used them for quite a long time, gaming many hours a day, they are terrific and very comfortable. My only complaint after continued use is I wish they had a glasses fitment notch like the stealth 600s did. Would make extended wearing a little more comfy but the ear pads blow the turtle beach's out of the water in all around comfort. Lastly on updates, if you purchase these and they feel too snug, wait a few long sessions or couple days and they will ease up. The difference between the brand new pair I received and the original was pretty staggering in terms of being broken in. The headband on the original was looser and was generally more comfy to wear.] So much better sound quality and VOLUME (these can get too loud as oppose to stealth 600s which weren't loud enough) than one of their competitions, turtle beach stealth 600s but tbh the 600s lasted a lot longer before they broke. And the turtle beaches broke because I stepped on them....These broke after either being lightly lifted off my head and ears or from being lightly placed on floor/on top of xbox. Pretty unacceptable from a newly designed and brand new headset. Will make warranty claim but at least, for now, they're still usable.
