I love this thermosta!!! I upgraded from a previous gen version of ecobee, as an FYI the old mounting plate is not compatible with the new model, so you will have to install the new included plate. The new display is much larger, more vibrant, and clearer than the previous gen models. I really like the new air quality monitor feature. This works with Alexa or Siri (you have to have a homepod in your home to use Siri). The speaker quality is acceptable for a thermostat, don't expect it to replace a dedicated speaker, but it is good enough for news briefs in the morning or some light tunes. Pairs easily with the included smart sensor as well as additional smart sensors I already owned. Took about 30 mins to install and setup. Best thermostat on the market.

I was one of the early adopters of the original Nest thermostat about ten years ago, which really kickstarted the smart thermostat market. A few years later I upgraded to a 3rd gen Nest and have been using it ever since, without issue. If you're a part of the Google Home ecosystem, the Nest is probably still the best choice, but my entire home is built around Apple HomeKit. It always bugged me that I couldn't control my thermostat with Siri, but there didn't seem to be any product that could truly compete with the Nest. Until now. Encouraged by some positive early reviews, I decided to jump from Nest to the 2022 Ecobee Premium thermostat, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Installation, guided by the excellent app, took all of 15 minutes. And just like that, my Ecobee thermostat was showing up in HomeKit and controllable by Siri. Now there are a couple of areas where I think Nest still has the advantage. The Nest is smaller, and its design is familiar/friendly, so it just looks "right" on the wall. Plus its circular design with the outer control ring is simply unrivaled. But just about everything else on the Ecobee surpasses the 3rd gen Nest. In fact, now that my thermostat integrates with Siri, I find I'm using voice commands to adjust the temperature, rather than physically adjusting it. I mentioned how I like the size of the Nest, but that's not a knock against the Ecobee. The rounded square design is distinctive and affords the unit a very large, crisp touchscreen display. I find the UI very intuitive and responsive. While the typeface used for the numerals on the nest was blocky and basic, I actually much prefer the font used on the Ecobee. It's a bit more futuristic while maintaining excellent readability. Maybe I like it so much because it's just a refreshing change after ten years with the Nest. In summary: if you're in the Google ecosystem and you have a Nest already, there's no reason to abandon a very good product. But if you're an Apple HomeKit user like me, and you want a full-featured thermostat that integrates with the Home App on iOS or your Mac, this is absolutely the thermostat to buy.

This digital thermostat is a must have! I honestly have no idea how we were living with a traditional one for so long. It’s great that I am able to turn on my heater/ac with my phone anywhere & anytime! Another feature I like is how it monitors air quality & you can set up alerts to alarm you if air quality decreases. Alexa is just an awesome bonus. This is a must have household gadget!

Premium is an understatement. Went from a Honeywell smart Wi-Fi to this gem. Honeywell is in a downward spiral if they continue to partner with Resideo. That company is awful (my ADT alarm system is the same manufacturer which I will also be canceling when my “contract” is up). The reporting, customization and features are next level and smooth integration with Apple/Alexa. Premium is an understatement. Ecobee just scored a lifelong customer. Also really great for those with no c-wire and comes with adaptor to ensure it can work with your system. Will be subscribing to ecobee home security once ADT contract is up.

We have bought smart thermostats with different brands over the years and installed in different floor of our house. We bought this premium version shortly after it went to market after reading some of the early reviews. After installation, We are so impressed by its performance and beautiful industrial design. It has an impressive large high resolution / high contrast display and new UI. The curve of the glass is smooth and elegant. Installation is very easy and quick. Works perfectly. So far, it is the best thermostats in our house. We are planning to upgrade our second flow Nest to Ecobee as well.

Install was fairly easy and app prompted but if the wiring is different you are required to contact customer support, phone support is quick but through messenger it look 4 days for support to get back to me. The thermostat measures the amount of humidity/pollutants in the air and also doesn’t run while you are away (you’re able to state the hottest/coldest you want your house to be while away) I would recommend this to literally anyone that is interested in technology!!

I am very satisfied with this thermostat. Not only is it high tech but it looks sleek on the wall. I love how easy it is to set up and having the extra features of air quality and weather updates in your city!
