My old thermostat was an EcoBee 3 Lite, and I decided to take the plunge for the Premium in order to gain support for the ventilation controller, air quality monitoring, and smart home support. The mount is slightly different, so you have to replace your wall plate. Once done, plug your thermostat wires back in, and you're good to go. The metal case feels much higher quality, and the larger screen makes using the thermostat much easier from the control panel. The UI has also received an overhaul, and is a bit easier to use. The chat support with EcoBee is also astounding - I had some issues with my initial wiring, and they were able to accurately diagnose the problem after asking for an upload of a picture of both the thermostat and the furnace. I expected to deal with your standard company customer support who was reading from a script, but instead they asked relevant questions and got right to the point with the fix. For this alone, I will likely be an EcoBee customer for a long, long time. My two minor complaints are that there is no option (that I could find) to migrate your comfort settings and sensors, so you have to set it all back up. Additionally, there is a bit of lag in between saving settings and the app receiving the new settings, so sometimes you will update the temperature or schedule and think that it hasn't saved, but in reality you have to be patient and give it a minute to sync up. Overall, this is a great little device that has gone through significant improvements from the prior generations.

The media could not be loaded. We have been wanting a smart thermostat for a long time due to we have talk vaulted ceilings and the temp varies greatly from where the thermostat is located. I read reviews and decided to go with Ecobee smart thermostat. Easy to install, I did it myself!! Took about 30 minutes for install and setup! App gave step by step instructions and are very easy to follow! My son, who is certified HVAC, lives in a different town so we call da e times for him to double check my work before turning power on. The sensor I placed in the large living area and unit has cooled to a comfortable temp! When you walk by it lights up with air temp/quality and outside temp! Wish I had bought sooner!

The thermostat was easy to install and is so convenient when you’re on vacation. Over the 4th of July we were able to turn off our air conditioning while we were out of town but cool our house down on our way home from our trip!

We really enjoy having the Ecobee in our home. It is easy to use and helps us keep the temperature in our home consistent. Alexa works great as well.

Definitely a staple to have in your home!

Easy to use and easy to install

The setup was really easy and similar to setting up a Nest thermostat. I love the integration with Siri and Alexa. Great buy

We love this thermostat! We knew immediately after installing it that we would want more smart sensors! It is so cool to see the temp difference in each room and we feel like it has really helped keep our air conditioning running more efficiently for our home!

I love how smart this technology is! Such an upgrade. And the sleek modern look doesn’t hurt either!
