There must be 20 different brands of these road safety flashers, but after looking hard at all the options, I'm glad I chose these. They are well made and function quite well. While I haven't had to use them for their intended purpose, I did take them out at night to check out their brightness and different flashing options. I'm happy with them and their quality means I'm confident with them in the truck.

Worth every penny. I sat on an interstate onramp with a blown tire for roughly 4 hours and these things did their job the whole time without killing the batteries. I’d absolutely recommend this product 👍 NOTE: make sure you have enough AA batteries as they don’t come with the lights. I missed that bit on the product description but that’s my fault.

I did a fair deal of research before selecting these flairs. I didn't want cheap "included" batteries , I didn't need a Phillip's head screw driver...I needed a quality flair that'll work as advertised when I need it. Easily installed my own (superior) batteries in 8 flairs within in minutes. (Purchased 2 packs of four flairs.) Tested each one and they worked flawlessly. Each unique setting worked and was very bright and clear. Obviously I haven't put them to the true test, but I have confidence they'll perform when needed. I'm ordering more soon. I can see several applications where they'd come in handy. :)

Ordered these as gifts. Gave one to my son and daughter-in-law who are on the road a lot with their RV. The lights are bright and I think could be a life saver. Gave the other set to my daughter as she goes to work every day in the dark. I feel better knowing if she breaks down and gets stranded until help arrives she is safer. The third set I still have and may keep. Which means I will have to get more for other family members. The seller of this product is very much on top of this product and follows through with a personally written “thank you”. Much appreciated. Will buy again and recommend it highly.

After all the fires and mayhem that have hit California in recent years, my family decided to put together emergency kits for our homes and automobiles. Every car is now equipped with a 4 pack of Garage Monkey Road Flares. It was an easy and reasonably priced way to start our safety plans. I will also add that one of the flares was defective and the Garage Monkey folks sent me two flares to replace the one. They were wonderful to deal with as well. We are quite happy with our choice.

Super bright...as you install batteries, you cycle thru all the variations. The last is the bright white lights, like a flashlight. I recommend that you avert your eyes when you get to that cycle. It'll blind you! Hope that I never need them, but good to know that I have them, just in case. Been giving them as gifts, all have been very appreciative!

These were purchased for me by my wife as a Christmas gift (on this account), knowing that (a) as an EMT I often am called upon to stop at roadside emergencies and (b) as a person who believes in preparedness it is easy to see how these would have a myriad of uses. Both the customer service and the product themselves are top notch and well worthy of being reviewed and mentioned here. The first lot she had purchased came in a bag that had a broken zipper. Upon contacting Amazon she was then sent a replacement and was told to keep the originals as well. We were then contacted by Garage Monkey to apologize for the error and were sent a new bag and an additional light. As if that were not enough, we then were sent a card, handwritten by the owner, thanking us for our business and inviting us to contact them should there be any further problems. Needless to say, especially with it being the Christmas season and very busy, we were touched. The products themselves are top notch. The batteries are easy to install and replace, and the construction of the devices themselves will easily stand up to wear and tear and be able to be used in a myriad of ways. The choice of color for the main LED illumination, red, is not only good as an indicator of an emergency, but also as a light source at night, as red light does not interfere with normal night vision as full white light does. The inclusion of a set of LEDs that can be used as a flashlight is also an excellent choice. Finally, the inclusion of both a hook and a magnet ensures maximum usability of the lights themselves in various situations, as well as the fact that, at least for me, the lights fit comfortably in my hand, and so could be used as a source of illumination with the steady red light setting. All in all, a tremendously good product, and a most excellent experience with this company. I would recommend both them AND their product to anyone without hesitation.

Excellent safety flares. Priced well compared to competitors. Had a problem with one flare after two months. Garage Monkey responded immediately to my email and sent a new flare the same day. Incredible customer service and corporate culture. Great company. Very happy.

These devices requires three AAA batteries each, and the batteries are not included. The manufacturer recommends using Energizer MAX batteries, as they have a ten-year shelf life and are less likely to burst and corrode the devices. Installing the batteries requires a screwdriver, but it's a quick and easy task. I bought a 24-pack of the MAX batteries and stored the extra twelve in a Storacell caddy (available on Amazon for about $6), which fits inside the supplied storage bag, on top of the flares. I expect the flares will run for many hours on one set of batteries, but now I'm prepared for anything. The flares have multiple flash patterns that cycle with each push of the power button. A long push turns off the flare completely. There is a fold-out hook on the back in case you want to hang the flare from something. Otherwise, it lies flat on the ground.

Update: Seller replacing defective flare. This is why I buy on Amazon and will recommend this product to all family and friends. One of four flares doesn’t work. Can’t get replacement, just return credit. Price doubled in 2 days. I won’t return and reorder for double price, no other options. They work great, when they work.
