The cough medicine is pretty effective for the kids. My nephew really does not fight me on taking this medication as it is not bad tasting but not overly flavorful. It has all the proper seals so it is child proof. Both the day and night time do not produce drowsiness. It does take time before it works. It does reduce my nephews cough when he was sick so that is a plus. As with any medicine, use as instructed. Overall this cough medicine is effective. It reduces cold symptoms to make the child comfortable and able to get better sooner. It is decent flavor but not overly flavored when it tastes like just sugar.

I have been using Hylands for years. When my daughter was in preschool a teacher approached me and asked what I used for my daughter doe colds, because she almost never has a cold, and I told her I used this product. If she satsts sneesing or has a sniffle and I give her a dose she is OK by end of day or by the start of the next day. Great product!

It’s only one cough syrup out of so many that works for my 4 y.o.She gets much better after 1-2 days of consistently taking this syrup every 4 hours.
