The flat bottom is nice as you can have a glass that is more full, however wood chips more easily fall onto the drink. Also unrelated to the quality but 4 days after I buy it they now offer a 50%off coupon. Come on guys. Aside from chips falling into the drink it does work as described as long as you burn the chips as explained in the instructions
