[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter has been asking for a claw machine for a long time and was beyond excited to get this one. We opened it up, added batteries and loaded in the toys. She popped in a coin and the machine came to life except the claw on ours won’t move back and forth. It only moves side to side even though it should move throughout the toy. It’s an incredible disappointment. Not only does it not move front to back, the claw has trouble lifting when you drop it down and try to bring it back up. My daughter is still excited but definitely a bit heartbroken. Thankfully this has a silent mode because the sound is loud! Don’t waste your money or you’ll have one disappointed kid. I gave it 2 stars because my daughter is still able to enjoy it a bit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes for the FAO Schwarz Toy Arcade Claw Game with Plush Prizes, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. The idea is fantastic, and my boys were really excited to play with it. However, it didn't work out of the box—the claw wouldn't open until my husband watched a video on how to fix it. The boys loved it once it was working, but by the next afternoon, it stopped moving to the left. The wire had wrapped around the gear, preventing movement. Thankfully, my husband is very handy and was able to fix it again in less than 24 hours so the kids could continue playing. While my kids are enjoying it and experimenting with what they can pick up, having to fix it twice within the first 24 hours is disappointing. As a result, I can't recommend this toy.

Not sure why, but the claw would get stuck whenever I moved it towards the rear of the machine. I could poke the claw forard from the rear opening using my hand and it would work again until I moved the claw towards the rear of the machine where it would again become stuck. Had to return it and now all the stores are sold out of this machine.

My kids (2 &5) loved it! Unfortunately the front and back control keeps getting jammed. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful toy with lights and sound.

Super fun-but I only worked for about 5 minutes. It is highly sensitive and the slightest nudge or tap will render the track useless. We discovered the pressure of the interior screws controls if it works or not. Too tight and it won't go, too loose and it won't go. And using it as intended will loosen the screws.... so then it stops working. Really cute toy but just not worth it since it breaks so easily.

Daughter played once and then the claw stopped moving front and back

The toy is cute, and my daughter was very excited to receive it as a gift on Christmas. Unfortunately, it stopped working within hours of setting it up. I saw other reviews that shared that same issue, and assumed user error had to be at play...nope. It's just a poor quality product.

This toy is adorable but worked one time. After my kids turned it on it stopped moving forward and backwards.
