This is a great messenger back but has bigger dimensions than advertised. When full, it is about 4" thick, as advertised, but the height and length are about 3 to 4 more inches longer than advertised. I bought this to use as a purse, but it's too big to use as a purse. That being said, it is a very nice messenger back and would hold most moderate size tablets and laptops. I kept it because it is cool and I used to as a gift to a librarian friend that could never had enough awesome bags for books. :)

This mens bag was a gift. The recipient loved it. On the flip side, it's smaller than it looks.

This was a great bag. I was sad to return it, because it would have been just what I wanted if it were about an inch taller. I bought it specifically to carry my Macbook Pro, and while it just fit side-to-side, it wasn't tall enough to close the zipper. I was quite disappointed, as The bag had plenty of pockets and a good design, along with sturdy-looking canvas. I would buy it again in a snap if they had this bad in a slightly larger size.
