I purchased this stand mixer and read the instructions that came with it. It stated that the whip accessory could not go in the dishwasher. I abided by that, but placed the others in the dishwasher as in this day and age- most things can and should be able to. Now I am stuck with two attachments that are coated in this gross metal which wipes onto everything and is so frustrating. I also cannot figure out which attachments will fit this one to buy dishwasher ones.

Motor is not very powerful. Noticeable difference from my 20 year old kitchen aid. This mixer has a hard time with pizza/bread dough or any thicker dough. My old one mixes with no problem. If you are going to be using this a lot or for thicker dough consider the next price point kitchen aid. This is probably ok for occasional use, but it is certainly no work horse.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this two weeks ago and bought a mixing attachment that has a spatula end on it to scrap the bowl. The attachment doesn’t seem to fit properly and causes the mixer to bounce as it mixes. I don’t think this is supposed to happen, and if it is then I imagine it would cause excessive wear and tear on the mixer. For that price I was expecting smoother operation and more quality feeling accessories. The silver band around the mixer is separating and seems to be an after thought in product design. The mixer gets the job done though in the kitchen and we have made some awesome cookies and dips with it!

I got this as a gift for my mother to replace her old one, and it works great except that the bowl it came with is thinner, smaller, and less comfortable to hold than her old one. While KitchenAid bowls used to have a comfortable rounded handle and high sides to stop spills, this one feels flimsy and the handle is a sharp-edged flat piece of metal bent into shape. It's also less beautiful to look at and display. The motor etc is just fine, but the comfortable grip will be missed, especially when twisting the bowl to fix it in and out of the base.

When I made my first batch of cookies I was so frustrated at how much flour ended up on the counter instead of where it put it - IN THE BOWL!!!! I spent more time cleaning the fixer and countertops of flour than it took me to make the batter!!!

At first I live it but then I dislike how when mixing the dough. The hook can't reach all the way to the bottom and it left some flour out. The lock was on till I turn the power on and the lock was loose. Returned it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for my wife as a gift and payed extra for the color. First time out of the box, we noticed the paint was damaged.

Came apart as I took it out of the box. Would of liked it to be packaged better. I had to Google how to put it back together as I couldn't find it on the manual. Also, I thought it came with a pouring shield and it wasn't included.
