Works well and definitely makes it easier to do Christmas baking. It would have been nice to know before I started using it that during the first use, a coating on the bowl could come off and discolor the dough. I threw out a whole batch of whipped shortbread that was discolored. Instructions "before you use" should warn consumers of this and recommend that it be washed with baking soda paste before using. I have been saving for nearly 2 year to get my hand on this Stand Mixer... was hoping to get the 5 Quart version but I think for my use this version is quite OK. Already used it to do some pastries over the Holiday and the result was great. I just need to learn to use it now as i use to do all my dough manually. Looking forward to some great recipe on a weekly basis with the help of my new Stand Mixer from KitchenAid. Only down side so far is I would have like the bolw to have an handle for ease of use.
