This is a great alternative to a larger window/wall mounted swamp cooler. Great for smaller area of the house or a bedroom. I replace the "filter mesh" thing with normal swamp cooler mats and it works much better. With the green plastic like mat that came with the cooler, it was not cooling or adding any humidity to the room, just a large fan.

Don’t allow the negative reviews deter you! No, it’s not going to cool down your whole house, but it’s gonna cool down that 1 room you need!! We only have a swamp cooler for our home, so our living sits at 80-85 on days it’s 105+ outside. Since using this cooler, it’s brought my living room down to 70!! We did have to buy extra ice packs ($1 ice packs from WM) to help cool the water tank more / faster, but other than that, this thing definitely rocks. 110% recommend to anyone needing to substantially cool down your room without breaking the bank on a window AC unit. BONUS POINTS, bc this thing rolls on wheels!!!

This is a great little unit for cooling a room down. The remote is nice and handy for us lazy people. I had a small issue with mine and I had to contact the seller. They responded quickly, they were very helpful and resolved my issue quickly.
