I would not call these rocks its tiny pebbles and sand. The majority of the pebbles is 1/8'' in size and the kit has lots of dust and tiny chips from rocks. The pebbles are so small so it's hard to identify them.

Hardly anything bigger than a dime. Couldn't tell what the fossils were because they were so broken. The only nice thing about this is the mat.

I should have read further down in the comments as this is a true disappointment. I received maybe 10-15 dime size "rocks" and the rest are just tiny shards (smaller then a pea) (that is the smallest think I could think of to compare it to). There was the plastic container with a handful of fossils, again, very tiny). The nicest think in the whole kit was the poster identification sheet. I do not recommend this product as it does not contain anything like the description or pictures.

Absolutely not what the pictures show. Extremely disappointing. Do not buy. Should have opened it before gifting it to my ten year old for his birthday.

I had to return mine. I’m super disappointing because I was going to give these to my students, it does not look like the picture at all! I just got bags of rock chips definitely no whole rocks like in the picture.

The product was sent to me just as it was with a mailing stuck to the outside plastic. Really? No outer box for protection. This was a gift for a little boy that I had to explain why the plastic was cut and that the gift was NEW. Was it too much to put it in an outer box? The only reason there is a rating is that it would not submit without it “0” is your rating

Do not waste your money!! Seriously a complete waste. Purchased these for a daycare event. Save yourself money go to your local craft store buy the stones and gems for fresh flower arrangements, and to your local pet store and buy a bag of fish stones. We did this because the very small handful that came in this so called kit was a joke. We ended up with over 20 times the amount of stones much prettier and interesting than this kit 🙄 for 1/4 the cost. I gave 1 star because it was the only way they allowed a review.

Do not waste your money. This is garbage! I am very disappointed in this product. The main bag of rocks looks nothing like the picture. This looks like fish tank gravel and there were weird rubber and plastic things when I dumped it out. This was supposed to be a gift for my granddaughter but it's definitely not something gift worthy.

Will return. Got this for a 4-H Geology project I lead and was sooooo disappointed. There were a few samples of decent size (1-2 inches) but most were in 1 large bag that took half the box and were chips. And when I say chips, I am being generous. Most in that bag were no bigger than my pinkie fingernail. Easily lost and not appropriate for children.

I don’t know if I received a product that someone else went through or if this was just a mistake, but most of the bags were not even halfway full and there was no variety. The large bag was mostly full of a whiteish pink quartz (doesn’t look like rose quartz though) and what looked like tumbled glass pieces. They were all small and most had a sharp appearance, as though they were not tumbled long enough. The other bags of rocks again were definitely not as full as other reviewers bags and appeared to be very rough. Even the fossils were lacking, and in fact i seemed to have been shorted on fossils
