These are the rocks and minerals included in my box..... the large bag looks like aquarium peoples..so disappointing, as a teacher I was excited to share this with my class. The sorting mat is great ...it is the best part of this kit. I paid 24.99 and although some of the items were of good quality ,those little pepples included so they could clean over 250 genuine specimens is a joke. I have purchased from other companies and will go back to buying g from them...so terribly disappointed

Definitely not what it shows. There are a few larger quarter sized rocks, but 80% of what you get are only about a cm big... Not what I was expecting.

Got a few quite nice fossils and larger rocks were a nice variety . The educational mat was fun and the kit included little cloth bags for the "treasure" pieces. However, the problem was that a fair proportion of the 250 pieces are very small (many no more than just polished chips) that appear to be waste from bead manufacture; some are in various stages of being drilled/shaped. As another reviewer mentioned , there were also a few pieces of broken glass mixed in that could also be bead waste. Not sure if it was just our luck or if they typically include such small pieces. We also bought the similar Natl Geographic kit and the smaller pieces in that were better quality, but we got a lot of nice amethyst and other quartz minerals in this one.

Not at all what I wanted. I was looking for a collection my 1st graders could study. This would be ok for one or two kids with supervision. Rocks are too small and you have to use the mat to find out what type. It’s mostly polished rocks. ☹️

I got this on sale for 14.99 and I think for that price it’s a decent set but I would not pay full price for this. Everything is much smaller than expected and some are so small you can barely pick them up. There are rocks on the poster that we did not get which I would find super frustrating if I got it for educational purposes. Luckily my toddler could care less and seems to enjoy the tiny Little Rock shards.

The majority of the “250” are little pebbles.

It said when I bought it that there was nothing wrong with it but when I got it almost all the fossils are missing

Rocks are very tiny!

I liked it but it was not appropriate for my class. There were mostly tiny little stones which was not appealing to the kids

It was cool my son loved the rocks, but the picture at the crystal geo in it, I was expecting at least one... no such luck
