I would have liked some of the rocks to be a little bigger, but overall happy with the purchase. My son should love this as a Christmas present. The identifying rocks sounds interesting.

This is an over-the-top collection. Almost too many rocks and minerals, so I had to put some away before we could begin looking at them. Also, we did not find the fossilized dinosaur poop which was supposed to be in the fossil box. If it is there, it does not look anything like the picture on the guide. The guide is great by the way to cover the table and make a safe place to inspect. The magnifying glass could have been bigger and better, and I would recommend two for each kit so a parent and kid can inspect together and share their finds. We happen to have several other magnifying glasses (from Lakeshore Leaning) so we used them.

My 5 year old loves this. She’s interested in all kinds of rock’s colors and shapes. She is always adding to her collection

It was beautiful I'm slightly disappointed I was hoping for more but the presentation was spectacular it's very giftable and as someone who collects stones for the most part it was pretty much worth the price I felt like it could have been better fossils though amazing packaging great condition

Got them as a bday gift for nephew, he was very happy.

It's still worth buying if your kid likes rocks, but the kit is basically 70% small lappis pieces.

Alot of the stones are much toooo small to do anything with, but ok

Was happy and excited to recieved such large amount of gems; some what disappointed in the size of the polished gems that was included...most are small in size- only about the size of a nickle but mostly smaller.
