It's definitely not as painless as shaving and for me is not worth it for so much surface area as my legs. I have a pretty good pain tolerance as I get a brazilian every 4 weeks for the past 5 years. However there's a difference in someone else inflicting the pain then doing it to yourself. BUT I know some people love epilators and in that case this one is good and cute and portable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So first thing is the product design is comfortable to hold, I tried this on my most aggravating area which is my chin for those pesky cactus like hairs that pop up...worked really well at plucking away, fairly quiet machine, minimal clean up...then I tried attacking my legs...I let my hair grow out just enough to ensure a clean smooth easier process...though it worked, ice down your entire leg doesn't work quite well, then to ice section by by section is quite time consuming...using this in the future I will focus on smaller sections/body areas

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to try out the Conair GIRLBOMV Rechargable Epilator. If only the results lived up to the claims provided by the product. The product states that the epilator removes hair at the root which can allow up to six weeks between treatments. Unfortunately, I only saw results for about three days. So while better than waxing which causes you to wait for hair to regrow before removing, shaving is much easier and quicker. I wasted about an hour of time using this product on my legs to get them as smooth as possible compared to the less than five minutes shaving takes just to get an extra day or two out of the process.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is definitely an intimidating product to use since I usually wax and shave. It be my first time ever using this product. I was intrigued to know how it worked and how well of a job it was going to do. I used it on a section of my legs and there was some pain associated to it, since it is like a tweezer. I am not sure if I will attempt it on other parts of my body. Also, it's pretty small and travel friendly. They attempted to do some nice cooling efforts with the ice roller but I don't think that really makes a difference.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't ask for this to be sent, I don't have any hair due to laser hair removal, so I gave it to my sister who has some hair and she said it was ok, but super painful and didn't work the best. We will both stick to laser hair removal only.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using epilator for years now but only have tried one brand for a long time, so I can tell whats what in a good epilator.ConAir's girlbomb rechargeable epilator has accesories you wont really find in other epilator. There's actually the ice roller. I actually dont find it that much helpful in terms of soothing the skin pre and post epilation. It is a nice accessory but in the long run I dont think you would really need it as it is just a roller that's not really that cold to help numb the skin just in case it gets scratched in during epilation. It also kind of gets in the way in case you need to angle the tweezers to pick up hair roots because the attachment is only adjustable at less than 45 degrees. Along the way you will find yourself that you will have to remove it eventually. It also has a brush to brush off the hairs stuck in tweezers, the sensitive skin detachment for moments when your skin is not in good condition but would need some epilating on certain areas. What i like about it though is that it has 2 different speeds you can choose so if you have sensitive skin or just starting to epilate you can always use low or high depending on your preference. It is rechargeable. One thing i really like about it so i can take it anywhere with me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product works but it takes some getting used to. For epilators to be effective the hair needs to be at a certain length. I found that it would take a few passes with the epilator to pick up the hair in a certain area. Don't go into this thinking that it will be a fast process either. You will need to do a few passes and given the area you're working with that means it will take some time. For me personally, that means that this won't be my main source of hair removal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the product on my legs, just a patch test on two different areas to try it out. I had to go over the same areas multiple times and from different directions to remove the hair, which was more time consuming then I would like. I will say, there was some pulling so it does feel like tweezing but it's not really painful. I didn't need to use the ice attachment. I just can't see myself using this to "shave" my legs I don't have the patience for it.

Extremely painful , and also doesn’t cover a lot of the area I have to go over the same spot multiple times. Not great.
question
I have been epilating for 17 years and have owned my fair share of epilators (likely around 8-10). This is one of the worse ones I have had! I ended up returning it after one use, because I had to go over the same spot time and time again to get any hair removed. It took me three times the amount of time that it usually takes to epilate, just because it wouldn't grab onto enough hair. Two pros: 1) you can use it plugged in or cordless 2) there was no plastic wrapping in the box; everything was wrapped in small paper pouches, which I thought was pretty great for a mass-produced item. However, these two positives don't make up for the fact that it didn't work well, so I ended up returning it.
