this trimmer is really fantastic for cutting your own hair. At first, I was skeptical, but after using it, it was so much easier than ever before. The kit is reasonably priced and very budget friendly. My only negative is that I wish the Carrie case actually had slots for the Combes and that they were made of a better material than just plastic. There are replacements offered so that is easily resolved, but I would have rather just pay the extra to get them instead of wasting materials and paying more than needed definitely a recommend to anyone who cuts their own hair. It lacks that leaver which allows for seamless blending . The blade does not cut super close even without the guard. This is for basic haircuts like high and tight or an undercut . I liked it for body hair grooming since its cordless and will not cut my skin. But I will definitely not do haircuts with this.The battery life is great and the power is steady. It took about 40 min to complete a haircut and body hair grooming. I charged it for 2 hrs prior. I did like the angle of the clipper blade for grooming and I like the grip positions. I don’t feel fatigued by the weight of the clipper blade.Value wise, I have really struggled with cordless clipper options so for a body grooming its a win. I would not travel with it and its not great for shaving the beard. Read more

I have been cutting my own hair for over 20 years so I've got quiet good at it. I've owned the same Wahl clippers that I've been using for over 10 years with no problem, but I saw this product and figured it was time for an upgrade.First of all, the angle of the blades actually makes it more difficult to self cut. You really gave to tilt it at a weird angle to get a straight line. Which brings me to my next point. I do a close fade and something I didn't notice until I received this is there is no taper lever! The taper lever let's you make small adjustments to the blade length so that you can properly blend a fade. This alone makes these clippers useless.The motor in this also seems much weaker and not as durable as my old Wahl clippers. Definitely not worth the $99 price tag.I was hoping for a nice new upgrade but these clippers failed to do what I needed which is why I am returning them and going back to my old clippers. Wahl could have made an innovative self cut clippers here but they really dropped the ball in the design and quality department. Read more
