[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finally had the opportunity to use this. I had an original model of the food saver from when they first released them. I was hoping this newer model would work a little better. It's basically the same technology but with a newer exterior. I followed the instructions to a T and still had issues consistently getting the air out of the bags. I was hoping it would work a little better. I have not had the chance to use the marinating function but I will say that I like that it has a spot to magnetically hold the piece that sucks the air out of the marinate container. The older model you had to attach the tube and it was one more thing to keep up with. On this unit it sits towards the back and attaches with a magnet. That is a nice feature. The unit came with a lot of bags and supplies which is nice. Overall, I give it a good review because perhaps I will get better at it sucking the air out over time.

It works good, had no issues. This thing could suck a golf ball through a garden hose

The few times I have used it I like it so far. It’s great for meats.

We certainly enjoy using this machine but wish it pumped faster. We do bulk food prep so time is important.

A little slow, but seals good, hand held sealer works good, I like it built in.

You literally only need this larger VS3120 Food Saver if you absolutely must use the 11-inch-wide bags for larger cuts of meat like Chuck Roast, Pork Shoulders, etc. Although the compact model (VS1120) only works with 8-inch bags it is much easier to handle than this larger one (the lid is lighter and doesn’t require using the side lever to open - just a convenient top switch and you can easily pop it open). It also stores easily and take up less counter space. It will fit into a 15 Gallon Plastic Bin to store in a Cabinet with the 8 Inch Bag Rolls. I ended up buying both the compact (VS1120) and this regular size (VS3120) Food Saver only because I use the 11-inch bags occasionally for Freezing and Sous Vide cooking of Pot Roasts, Pork Shoulders and Corned Beef. I keep this larger one in the Basement and only get it out when I need to use an 11inch Bag.

I think the product is great! But the storage of the machine and the bags is awkward, even annoying!

This product is wonderful to use. Easy to operate however the instructions were misleading. After several uses the rubber seal seems not to stay on track.
