So far I have only used this once to try it out. It took a little bit of trial and error from the quickstart instructions to figure out how exactly to use it, but once you get the hang of it, it's super easy and so handy to have to keep things fresh longer. Absolutely great product! Very effective at keeping food fresher for longer. It's very easy to use once you understand how it works. A simple push of a few buttons! There's three custom settings depending on the food you're preserving: marinate, moist, and dry. All three are effective at preserving their respective type of food. Aesthetically the product looks very slick and is visually appealing. It not only works great, it also looks and feels very high quality. Would purchase again and would definitely recommend. 10/10. This is the coolest appliance. It has so many uses... long term storage and preservation of food in your freezer, storage in fridge, assisting with marinating meats. I love my Foodsaver VS3120! It’s something I never knew I needed, but now that I have it i could never go without it. This makes it so easy to store food. I like to buy the bulk/family packs of meats and break them up for individual meals. I used to just use aluminum foil, but that does not keep them fresh enough. I love this FoodSaver with only a few exceptions. I vacuum sealed every type of meat, fish and even blueberries. After vacuuming the fish, the unit had a fish smell next time I used it even though I had thoroughly wiped it down with antibacterial wipes before putting it away. I wiped it down again after that use and put it away only to have it smell like fish again the next time I took it out. I've determined that the rubber seal that holds the bag down inside the unit is the culprit. I removed it and properly washed it even after wiping it down with the wipes and it still smells like fish. Apparently, I must have inadvertently got fish juice on it while vacuum sealing the fish and now the smell won't come out. Unless FoodSaver wants to send me a new seal, I guess I have to live with it. Stinky. I gave it 5 stars anyway because the unit works well. The only other thing I would like to mention, is you have to use a lot more of the bag material than I anticipated when sealing which to me seems wasteful and requires you to purchase the bag material more often.
