These slip off the vent along with the phone when you go to take the phone off. The gaps are a little too big to fit securely on my 2015 Acura RDX SUV.

These things hold the phone ok but have trouble over bumpy roads. not so much as it losses the magnet portion but it falls off the vent

I liked the concept of them but after awhile it sitting in the car it started to come off, probably from the heat of the sun or the heat in the car

I have a 2019 Ram and Galaxy S21 phone. They don't stick out far enough to clear the obstacles around the vents. Still DOES stick and hold, but it's not ideal. Will be trying these in my Wife's car and stealer hers.

the overall product is nice, it came with ample pieces, however my phone falls off when i go over big bumps in the road and my case isn't very thick.

I have one in my car that I got years ago and its magnets are strong enough to hold my Pixel phone in its plastic case (sans metal plate) without really slipping (only hitting the biggest bumps with a fairly dusty mount surface will cause the phone to fly off). I was so happy with it that I bought a few more for use when traveling, as I'm used to having my phone mounted on a certain place on the dash now. Unfortunately the new ones have weaker magnets and my phone slides off at every bump in the road, or just from normal car vibrations. They're basically unusable without installing the metal plate which adds unnecessary weight to my phone. They're so disappointing that I'm not even sad that I left one behind in my last rental car!

I just gave 3 stars so I could move on. When I purchased this magnetic phone holder I didn’t give any thought to the fact that when you clip the holder onto your air conditioner vent and then attach your phone your air conditioning and or heater vent is now blocked. I have not used these magnetic holders yet for this very reason. With this Texas heat you need every bit of air conditioning in your car you can get. I’ll be returning them .

I ordered this product for my iPhone 6 Plus. The product came with 2 round receiver magnets to attach to car heating/air vents, 2 magnetic rectangle plates and 2 magnetic circle plates to stick on your phone or in your phone case, and 2 rectangle and 2 circle sticker films (I can't figure out what these are for- maybe to keep the magnets from rubbing on your phone case?). The plates have a paper, like the back of a sticker, which if pulled off would expose a sticky side of the magnet which you could use to attach the plates to your phone or your case. I did not peel them off because the plates stay in my phone case just fine once the case is on with no need to stick them. This way, I can move them from case to case when I switch. I use a thin cosmetic case on my phone, and since my phone is so large I placed 2 of the 4 thin magnetic plates in my phone case and then put the case back on. Even though my case is thin, I cannot feel or see the magnets. I drive a Toyota Prius, and I placed one receiver magnet on the vent on the driver's side, and the other on the passenger side (for me to use while my husband is driving). I am impressed with the strongness of the magnets and how well they snap together considering how paper thin the plates are. They aren't easy to pull apart from the receiver bases. My phone stays stuck while driving, even on bumpy roads. You could use this one kit for two phones in two separate cars if you wanted to. The only con, for me, is that the receiver magnets don't hold on to my vents as securely as I wish they did. Sometimes when I grab my phone off quickly, the receiver magnet comes off the vent and comes with my phone. I wish there was some way to make them stay on the vents a little better. Even so, overall I am very happy with this product, especially for less than $10! It makes it so easy to keep your phone within reach and view while driving when using it for navigation. It sure beats throwing the phone on the passenger seat or in the cup holders. EDIT: After using these for about a week in the 100 degree summer weather, I've noticed another con.The magnetic base itself blocks about half of my cool air vent, which prevents half of my cool air from blowing on me in the 100 degree car. Worse, when my phone is on the base, my large phone blocks the entire air vent! This may not bother some people, especially those who typically direct the air flow away from themselves when driving, but I use the cool air from the vent as a fan pointed directly on me in the summer. EDIT #2: I recently switched to a phone case that has a clear back, and can't use the magnets with it because they show and look dumb. I am now searching for a non-magnetic car phone holder until I switch to another (not clear) case.

The magnetic is not strong enough to hold my iPhone 14 pro

I bought this in desperation for a rented car in a new city, and it really helped to have my phone up where I could see it, as I couldn't get car play to work. If I hit a big bump sometimes the phone came off of the magnet, or leaned quite a bit, but the simplicity of the system was appealing, and if it fell off I'd just stick it back on. If this were for use for normal driving I'd want something more solid, but for short term it was fine.
