Magnet is a little weak.

The concept is good but the follow through needs a little more work on the mounting system vs weight of the phone.

The WizGear Magnetic Mount comes with 2 rectangular (2 5/8" x 2 3/4") and 2 round (1 1/2") metal disks with adhesive backing for mounting on your dashboard or other flat surface, as well as additional rectangular and circular stickers, and 2 super strong magnets with rubber prongs to attach to your car vent blades. The product is solidly made and very strong, however, it did not work for our car configurations. Things to consider when purchasing these are the orientation of your fan blades (horizontal vs. vertical), whether the vents lean forward or backward (which makes a huge difference when the sun is out), range of motion of the vents so you can move your phone/gps to the left or right, size of phone, etc. In my video, I show the challenges we had using these in both of our cars - a Hyundai Santa Fe and a Hyundai Tuscon. The Tuscon has smaller vents with vertical blades. The Santa Fe has slightly larger vents with horizontal blades. I took the video in the early evening. It was still sunny out but the cars where in the shade. The glare doesn't appear to be a huge issue in the video but it is killer when the sun is beating on your dashboard. When we originally tried these, it was sunny out and you couldn't see anything on the screen due to the angle of the vent and the glare of the sunlight. As I note in the video, if your vents are further to the right of the steering wheel and not angle too far forward, these may work for you. These did not work for us and we will be going with the kind that has the gel bottom that clings to the dashboard or window without adhesives.

I just received this mount a few days ago. The best thing is about it is the strength of the magnet. I have had other magnetic mounts where my phone would not stay if I went over a bump in the road. The things not so great are that you can't adjust the viewing angle. And I wonder about the heat from the vent affecting the phone.

Magnet is thin and strong but it interferes with charging and completely blocks the charge when using a charging pad/dock that you just lay your phone on. This will only provide great value if you charge using the traditional charging chord. Both my wife and I put the magnet on the inside of our phone cases and we have to remove the each night to charge since we both use charging pad. The other bad thing is it blocks AC/Heat flow from your vent when your phone is attached to the larger vent magnet. We live in Florida and constantly have the air on. Which ever vent holds the phone will be 80% blocked.

My 2021 Mazda CX-5 has much smaller vents than previous vehicles. If you need lot of airflow and a/c as I do in the hot summer(NC) this may be a problem for longer trips. Otherwise, works as described and will work fine in cooler weather!

I like a mount that is a little more mobile. However, this works good to. You can really adjust it.

Bought it for my 08 Chevy. The magnet stays attached to my phone when I pull it off. Used it on a newer dodge with thick vents and it was fine.
