Overall works really great

Only reason for a 4 star is the poor adhesive on the magnet... I never wanted a huge contraption that attached to the windshield or something that sat on the dashboard. These are discreet and work really well. Getting 2 in the package is a bonus. I have one for my daughter and one for myself. Only thing I want to mention is, the adhesive on magnet that attaches to the phone is poor. I did not use a phone case and with that, the magnet that you stick to the back of your phone separates from the phone and attaches to the base magnet leaving the phone to fall. If you use a phone case, which my daughter does, it works beautifully! I ended up buying a phone case and it works just fine. I would recommend this product.

Reliable Car Cell Phone Holder

This is my 2nd. My first was stolen, but the the retail outlet where I bought the first one was low on products like this, party because of COVID-19 economy. The magnet is very strong. Instead of a suction cup found on so many auto cell phone holders, it has rubber tips which fit into typical AC/heater vent. It's not a perfect fit, and a hard bump/jolt in the road may cause it to fall out of the vent with the phone still attached, but it's still much better than suction cup devices that mount on the dashboard. Because my AC vent is almost at the dashboard level, my eyes don't stray from the traffic ahead of me. The price was right: a 2-pack was only about 20% higher than the single unit I purchased in a store. Amazon Prime got it to me in less than 24 hours.

Great product

The Mount itself falls off the vents very easy but overall it’s a good buy,I drive a 2013 Chevy Cruze and the vents aren’t in very good spot so it hard to see the gps behind the steering wheel

Strong magnet

Keeps phone in place but at times the mount has come out from the vent still attached to the phone.

Best affordable mount I have used!

Having used these for a while it's really changed the way I use my phone. It also makes me want to have more magnetized mounts around the house too. In the car it works well and the AC vent mount option is nice and compact. Our one vehicle has vents in line with the steering wheel so they tend to hide the phone a bit, for instance if you are using navigation. If you have a similar vent position then, I might recommend using the suction or stick on mounts. Magnetic is way better than the clamp in my opinion. You can just whack the phone on and it stays. It holds the phone on place even on bumpy roads. Overall a great product and I would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable mounting solution in a vehicle.

Works, mostly...

I am only giving 4 stars because they slip off my a/c vents sometimes. There is a large slot and a small slot, but maybe my vents are just an irregular size? Not sure, but it is annoying when the phone falls down. I cannot speak to the magnet power for the magnetic stickers, as I did not use the supplied magnets that came with the phone holders. My phone is already in a magnetic case and it is strong enough to hold, so the extra magnets were not needed. Overall, the magnets on the holders seem very strong. In fact, my son was playing around with them and got the 2 stuck together and could not separate them.

I own several of these and like them a lot

I have bought several of these as well as bike mounts and a version of the car mount that actually sticks to the dash and has an articulating arm. So far I'm really happy with them. The magnet is very strong and I'm able to put the metal plate inside the protective case so that there's no plate on the back of the phone. I bought them for myself and for my wife. This last purchase was to have a couple to travel with so that I can use them in my rental cars. The only complaints I have are that over time, the appear to get a little loose if you have them on and off a lot. Also, I had one that the rubber broke down on the fingers that go over the metal "fingers" that interlock into the vent. One other consideration is that you end up blocking the vent significantly when you place your phone onto the holder. When the heat is on, this can cause the phone to get warm but it's not a major issue. This is why I bought the dash mount version. Overall good products and a good company from what I can tell. They also make a bike mount and I own 4 of those. They are great thru ther first season of riding.

Worked in Car, but phone heated up on wireless charging pad (Samsung S7)

These mounts worked well with my Samsung S7 phone. Tried both larger square plate and smaller circular metal plate between phone and case. Didn't stick them to my phone and glad I didn't. When I placed the phone on my Samsung wireless charging pad with the square plate I couldn't get it to work, so first evening I just plugged the charging cable directly into the phone. Next day I played with the placement of the square plate to see if it would work based on some other comments I read. The square plate never worked but I didn't get a connection with the circular plate. But then on my second night charging it I fortunately woke up after it had been on the charging pad for about 5-6 hours and checked on it. My phone was hot to touch and it was only 65% charged. Wasn't charging any more it appeared. So having the metal plate on the back made it phone heat up and I won't play with that any more unless someone has a suggestion to try. I don't want to risk over-heating the phone and causing damage or worse a fire. After all of this I worried if Samsung Pay would work with the metal plate in place. I didn't notice any problem with that aspect. Work for both NFC and MST type transmissions. I will still use this in my car because it was very nice for that, but to charge the phone I may have to remove the metal plate every night I put it on the charging pad, or I'll just plug it in directly.

Not for the larger phones with cases....

I have a Samsung S10 plus. I bought a case for it and these. The magnet will "pull" on the case and hold it to the mount, however, the slightest movement or bump and the phone is dropped. Would probably work for a smaller phone though...

Sometimes fall out, but otherwise works well

I am using it for few months now. The phone sticks well and secure. Good selection of back plates. Two pieces mean I can use it in two cars and with two phones. Backplates do not obscure phone antennas if one carefully choses positioning. My plates are under the phone case, if you do not use a case the backplate would look ugly of course. A downside it sometimes falls of the vent grill on my Mazda. The grill edges are thin and the attachment leg does not have enough grip. I also see it looses the grip over the time. It also scratches the edge of the grill so the grill loses paint. Probably it could use a better grip and softer material. At the same time works well on a Jeep vent with thicker edges. A note: with the phone attached it becomes quite heavy, so the grill turns down. Obviously not an issue with the mount, but you may need to look for a proper location at the corner of the vent so the mount would wedge the grill in a somewhat acceptable position. I could imagine some sort of additional attachment arms to help this problem although I have never seen it on any models.
