These phone holders are great. I bought one for the whole family for Christmas I placed the magnet between my phone case and the phone. It is a strong magnet. Great for holding my phone while using my gps in the car. Everyone loved their gift.

Saw this on a co-worker's car. I've been using the TetraX XWAY air vent magnet for years, but it has a few issues: it uses a screw-spring to clamp onto the air-vent, so after some number of times attaching and detaching to air vents, it loses its grip (I use a LOT of rental cars, so I need to detach it a lot); also, it requires you to glue on a magnetic holder to the back side of whatever phone jacket or back cover, so the phone never sits flatly on any surface, and if you need to get a new jacket or battery cover, you have to get another stick-on magnet holder (which will run out over time). This solves so many issues all at once! Of course, in similar fashion, you cannot lift the phone off the vent directly, you need to slide it so that the mount doesn't come off the vent with the phone - but that's an obvious problem when you don't glue the mount to the vent, so no complaints. Another big plus is the price difference. I've left more than one Tetrax in a car rental by accident when returning to an airport... an expensive mistake, in that those are about $40 to purchase. These I paid about $9 for two, and will definitely buy more so I can have extra on-the-go. Worth every penny. Hasn't come off by accident while driving once in the last week (and as much as I drive, that's impressive). If I see any issues I'll update this review, but until/unless that happens, I'd say this is a winner!

I went from a pop socket mount to these magnets. The pop socket mount has adjustable angle and sits further from the AC vent. These are more compact/flush against the AC vent so make sure you don't have any stereo knobs or controls that will interfere with your phone against your AC vent. These also don't allow for angle of the phone so sometimes the phone screen reflects the sun. My advice is to hold your phone up against your AC vent. If the position is good, then these are great! I installed the "metal plate" in between the rubber and plastic parts of my OtterBox and holds strong in portrait mode. If I try landscape mode it's not strong enough to hold unless the magnet was in the middle holding balance. They hold the large phone

I originally purchased one of these mounts as a gift for my boyfriend, who previously used to just keep his phone propped in a cup holder & would look down at the navigation. Obviously, not very safe. I bought this for him 2 years ago and it is still working just as well as it did on day 1. He continuously tells me this is the most unexpected yet favorite gift he's ever been given. Makes navigation much easier & he said it's great for watching The Office in his car on lunch breaks haha. I have since gifted these to two other friends whose current situations resembled that of my boyfriend's when driving - 2 weeks later and they too are saying they use it all of the time! I personally have on in my car as well; I've never once had a problem with my phone accidentally dislodging (during an abrupt stop, for example) & I've found the effectiveness isn't hindered by any of the cases I've used. Would recommend this product over & over!

Finally a magnet strong enough to hold my phone. I have the metal plate on the inside of the phone case, because it looks better, I tried 4 others that could barely old my phone for a little bit, but then it would all off. This one is very strong. thats all I was looking for and this one works great.

Sometimes the simplest solution is often the best solution. That is certainly the case with the WizGear Magnetic Car Mounts. I had a couple of phone mounts for my car in recent years, and they all suffered from the same basic design flaw: springs will inevitably become loose, plastic teeth will slowly wear down , and after a while a plastic contraption that—when you first bought it—held your phone sturdily in place ,won’t even be able to secure it if you go over a small speed bump. Using a magnetic mount is so much simpler and intuitive. Instead of getting in your car and trying to secure your phone with some type of over complicated clasp, just put it near the magnet and you’re good to go. Really, it’s that simple: attach the magnetic strip to your phone, attach the mount to your car’s air vent, and you're set. While other mounts I used ceased to function after only a couple of months (or even weeks), the WizGear is still going strong. There’s really not much else to say about this thing. If you want a no hassle solution to mounting your phone in your vehicle, just pick these things up. And in case you were wondering, I have an IPhone 8 Plus, which is definitely one of the larger and heavier phones out there, and the WizGear holds in place just fine. It comes with two mounts and two magnetic strips, so should you lose one or want to share it with a spouse, family member, or friend, you’re covered. For the selling price, you really can’t go wrong.

I really love this magnetic phone mount. I bought 1 pack for my husband and I to use on each of our cars (1 pack comes with 2 of the larger magnets that would stay in your car on the air vent and 4 of the slim magnets that would stick to your phone). I have been looking for a phone holder that does not stick to the dash and is not a huge bulky holder that is an eye sore and gets in the way when you install it. This mount is very discreet and has a very strong magnet to hold your phone. My husband and I both have Galaxy Note 8's and we haven't had any problems with the magnet strength. The phone stays in place when its placed vertically or horizontally. We really love the ease of just touching the phone to the magnet when we want the phone held and the ease of grabbing it off the magnet when I need to. The only suggestion I would have for this product is for the magnet to be able to "pop out" in a sense and tilt like a tv wall mount so that you can tilt the phone at an angle and have more control over the direction the phone faces. Other than that, great product. As for the magnet piece that can stick on your phone, we just placed the magnet between the back of our phone and our phone case, we did not stick it to the phone, our phone case is tight enough that the magnet stays put and doesn't move at all. Works perfectly.

I like this mount bc it’s so easy to use and install. I know it doesn’t like automatically charge your phone, but the phone mounts that have a built in charger are clunky, chunky, and funky. I tried a mount with arms that would also charge my phone and it was too big and glitchy. This is my favorite set up bc you just pop your phone up there and go. I’ve had 0 issues with the magnet bc it’s very strong just gotta make sure you line it up nicely. I have my husband the second mount and we both have magnets inside of our cases so handling navigation or playing DJ during road trips is a breeze. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
