I was not happy with this machine as the grounds would get stuck and the machine’s dreaded orange light would come on. Even after cleaning and troubleshooting it would happen again relatively soon.

Espresso comes out foamy, which I really like; however, after one year, it started getting difficult to close when putting in a pod. Another minus point is that it only works with their pods. I tried different kinds of refillable pods in order to use different kinds of beans, but it didn’t turn out well

Dear Nespresso, Just give me one button to descale!! I have had my Vertuo Next for 2 years. I would have given it more than three stars... but descaling this machine is daunting! I love the machine, it understands the assignment... but descaling is a nightmare! I have watched tutorials and it does not work as it is supposed to. It is a frenzy of pushing buttons, holding them down, locking the lid, unlocking the lid... only to have it act like it is descaling without actually descaling. I have wasted all my descale sauce! When I get up in the morning, the machine blinking orange telling me it needs descaling (and it was descaled the day before) before getting my morning coffee makes me see red! I literally have to unplug the pot and plug it back in to get my one cup. You seriously need a rocket scientist to come and descale your pot. I am to the point that I want to buy another machine because this one is impossible to descale. Please let us know the steps of descaling in the sales pitch!

I should have gone with the original line, as I am purely an espresso drinker. Since there is no control over cup size, you are limited to your pod sizes. If this is the way it must be, and there are no other coffee competitors available to buy from, can you please make the coffee flavors in every size? I really liked my welcome gift. The espresso does taste nice, even though it is not authentic creama. I am staying these things in my review to help people make a decision. The best of the best is not always the right fit for you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this several weeks ago. Although it makes decent coffee, it is more like espresso (even their coffee sizes) and less like drip coffee. So depending on how you like your coffee, this machine may/may not be for you.

Bought the machine 3 years ago. The lid got stuck closed a few times - youtubed how to repair it. One of the screws for the lever had worked it's way completely out which should have been an easy fix except the screw is somewhere in the body of the machine and can't be retrieved. Sadly, I have to buy a new machine that has a life expectancy of 5-10 years after 3 years.

It was so amazing and I was happy with my purchase until it stopped working in September. I purchased it in March, so it only lasted 6 months. I’ve descaled it twice and it still won’t work. I’ll contact nespresso to see if anything can be done. I loved it so much but I’m disappointed at how quickly it stopped working. Using my Keurig again which has lasted me for years and 3 moves.

I bought this machine for my office at work because I like my DeLonghi version of this machine so much. This version is built much cheaper. The water reservoir is smaller and the brew cycle is louder. It does make a good cup of coffee though and I do like the design for ease of use.

I knew going into it I was going to have order coffee pods for this machine. I bought this thinking I was going to get a comparable difference to a Keruig and I really do not. Maybe it's my pallet. For my lifestyle, I really regret trading in my Keruig for this. I should have kept the Keruig and bought a french press when I was feeling fancy. If you like the convenience of Keruig products and the simplicity of making a cup of coffee, stick with the best Keruig machine you can find. I'll make this work bc I have had it for so long now but it's not my favorite and I regret the purchase.

Leaks coffee. Buying a new one to replace the leaking one since I have so much invested in coffee. Makes a good cup of coffee.
