I bought neck fan a couple of days ago because the weather in Southern California is hotter than normal. I gave the fan a full charge and tried it our on an early morning walk. Outside it doesn't seem to make much of a difference but I could feel the air on the highest power. The fan works best indoors and I can feel the difference in all three power levels. I used a noise meter app to measure the noise levels and it varied from 40, 47, and 50 decibels on low, medium, and high, respectively. That's the same range as in a quiet living room. While on high, you may have to turn up the volume on the TV. As for others hearing it, anyone within four feet you while you have it on high will hear it but it's not enough to bother anyone. The pros are: They're lightweight and fit comfortably around the neck. Moderate amount of noise. The cons are: The vents around the neck don't provide much air as the vents along the jaw and ears does. The power button is on the right-hand and it's a little awkward trying to find it with your right hand. I found using my left hand allowed me to find the power button easier. If you're moving while outside, the doesn't help as much as if you're standing or sitting still. This neck fan works and is a welcomed relief in hot weather. Price, convenience, and value makes it worth buying.

My daughter recently asked me to purchase these; her motive was to wear it while we try to tend our garden in 100 degree heat. Mother nature has seen fit for our weather to remain in the high 90s up until 8 at night. I am not amused, but I feel we have something in common.. both nature and myself are going through menopause. Yes.. the dreaded "M" word, the fate that has left me feeling like I have been kidnapped and held hostage in Satans rectum waiting for the moment I am deemed worthy enough to be allowed respite to enter a level of Hades that that doesn't want to see me turned into a deep fried pile of ovarian left overs. So yes, I bought TWO based on the reviews. Can I just say that this is a minor miracle? Even when it is warm in my office, I place this angelic ring about my neck and feel cool air drifting toward me, and I have hope that salvation is at hand. Is it enough to take all the heat? Well, let's be honest- when you are menopausal the only way to rid yourself of the scathing internal inferno is to jump into a pool of ice. That being said, this is as close as you I have come to getting some relief without placing myself in a glacier and going into shock. This item has three speeds so you can ramp it up at will. It is not very loud- I wear it while teleworking and no one can hear it in the background. It charges easily with USB, and so far I have worn it up to 6 hours without the battery running low. I don't even know how close I have come to using all the battery life, it has lasted for the length of time I needed it. The other awesome part, is because it is USB, you can charge in your car, or even a portable charger if you are out and about. So I would recommend this 100%. My only wish is to create a similar product to place in my bra.. if you know, you know!

I had originally ordered this neck fan for myself after reading reviews of this neck fan from women who have hot flashes. I suffer from them and have other neck fans but they aren't that great so was looking for something better. I received this fan the day before my husband had to do a work trip to Vietnam and I insisted he take it with him because I knew the humidity there would be worse than what we have experienced. He was hesitant but after we had it charging all night he tried it on before heading out the door to the airport and said he would take it and try it out. Let's just say it was a lifesaver! He had a 6 hour layover in Seoul before arriving in Vietnam and the section of the airport he was in was not air conditioned. He could feel the heat but said the neck fan was a God send. It kept him nice and cool and he didn't care that it was the pink color ( it's a very light pink, more like very light salmon color ) because it was doing it's job. He used it on the low setting and it worked not only for the entire time he was in the Seoul airport but also through his non airconditioned flight from Seoul to Ho Chi Minh City. His company had a driver get him to take him to his hotel and it was still working! On one charge! The driver asked my husband about the fan and when they were at the hotel my husband let him try it on. He was impressed and said he was going to get one. When my husband had to do factory tours for the next couple days the factories were not air conditioned except in one very small area and a lot of the workers were asking my husband about the neck fan. My husband and his neck fan were a big hit on his trip! He said it definitely kept him cool the entire time and he never used the cooling towel I packed up for him too. He only had to put it on the medium setting once and he never used the highest setting. He said he got about 15-16 hours off of one charge. When he was sleeping he kept it charging and he had no issues whatsoever with it. The only complaint he had was one side after awhile started making some noise that was louder than the other side, but nothing that really bothered him. He is extremely picky about things so since he gave this neck fan a glowing review I have ordered 4 more for us to use ( 3 light grey ones for us and our son and a duck one for my niece ) We haven't tried the other neck fans out yet so I'm hoping they work as well as the light pink one.

Bought just to try it out and give it a go. It get in the 100 degrees here in SoCal. Live everyone mentions it's best inside for sure. Really nice to side inside and have a close breeze. I keep it on the first setting when indoors. It has gotten above 110 last few days. I use a cooling towel and keep myself wet and the fan helps give me some nice airflow. I have it set to the 2nd setting to help with the battery life. 3rd setting is very nice but also makes it a little hard to hear ppl talk. I think the 1st mode gets me about 7 hour, 2nd gets me about 5, and 3rd about 3 hours. I use the fan everyday and have been recommending it to everyone. I saw you can replace the battery but haven't felt the need to open the fan up to see how easy it would be.

Initially I bought this for an upcoming trip to Florida, but decided to use this for a migraine headache (I need to keep my head cool due to heat induced migraines). I popped this thing around my neck and was pleasantly surprised how much it cooled my head and helped the pain. The noise isn’t very loud so it didn’t bother me. The fan speed obviously changes the noice level. but it’s really not bad even at the highest speed. I also really like that I can flip them upside down and have the air blowing down my back VS up the back of my neck. I purposely bought this design that cooled not just from the front of my head but also the back. I can’t comment on the charge life because I haven’t had it that long, but I do appreciate the charge cord that was included. Can’t wait to use this great neck fan in Orlando! Highly recommend!

This fan is great. I was signed up to play in an all-day paintball game during a heatwave. I ordered this neck fan hoping that it might give me a small bit of relief from the heat. It surpassed all of my expectations. It lasted all day long on full blast. It fits comfortably and securely around my neck and doesn't get in the way while doing full sprints, army crawls, or rolls. If you've ever played paintball then you know how suffocating it can be to wear a mask on some days. I was a little worried that the fan might get in the way of my range of motion with the mask or the noise might make hearing even worse. I am happy to report that this fan posed absolutely no issues to my range of motion or hearing sensitivity. It actually helps a great deal with getting air circulating in the mask and stopping the goggles from excessive fogging, so that is a huge benefit! I took one or two hits to the neck while wearing the fan and neither the impacts not paint affected the fan in any way... So in addition to providing ventilation to my paintball mask this thing also serves as a neck protector. If the company put camouflage and a paintball logo on this thing they could sell it for 3x the price to paintball players, like everything else in that industry. I will be bringing this fan with me anytime it might get hot, whether I'm playing paintball or not.

This is extremely useful for me, since it provides some "breeze" over my ears and head, and helps me feel less hot than would otherwise be the case. Well made, fan has three speeds although I usually keep it on lowest speed, which provides enough air movement to alleviate the "too hot" feeling. I'm not sure how well it would work with longer hair - I keep my hair VERY short (think "buzz-cut"), and it works well for me. On a regular basis I work in a room that is not air-conditioned, and during the summer it can get up to the high 80s in the room. This is a useful supplement to a room fan which I keep directed on me, and the combination of the two keeps the temperature tolerable. Fan noise on low is noticeable (because some of the air is directed over the ears, so it's actually more "wind" noise than fan noise), but not intrusive, and wearing headphones or earbuds eliminates the fan noise anyway. Higher speeds, which I have tested for functionality, are slightly noisier, but overall, nothing objectionable. I love the rechargeable aspect, and I know I can get AT LEAST 10 hours of use from the fan at low speed. I wasn't sure if I was going to like this or not, but I'm glad I took a chance, This is not an air conditioning unit, but for the price, a very useful piece of kit to keep one a little more comfortable either around the house or outside. They flex to get over my neck and would likely stay on without any problem while someone is running - not sure about pole vaulting, though!

I honestly cant compare to other brands for noise level since this is the first one I've tried but it does do the job. I use it when I'm mowing the grass and like the fact it has vents around the neck as well and not all do. This item has 3 different fan levels. The sound of the fan is tolerable to me and doesnt have any high pitched noise to it, just typical fan noise. I do not really hear others talking to me unless I am aware theyre near me because of catching sight of them. That being said it hasnt caused any issues and if something happens to it I wouldnt hesitate to purchase another.

I spend a lot of time outside and with the heat, some days are unbearable. I was a bit skeptical, but once I received this product and changed it, I was quite surprised. It not only blows cool air on my neck and face, but behind my neck (my cooling zone) as well. Sweat didn’t seem to hinder its function. Altho, sweat is salty so I’d recommend wiping it down after use, just in case. Doesn’t take long to charge, and works for approx 3-4 hours on that charge, depending on one of the 3 speed's you choose. Low works well for me. LADIES! If you’re hotflashing, this is THE perfect cooler for you!
