Very happy with our light and particularly like the three levels of lighting provided...just add four AA batteries and you are good to go. Note that this unit is NOT waterproof so needs to be removed (takes 5 seconds!) from the umbrella when not in use. We left ours outside and it filled with rainwater. The good news is that we emptied it out and dried everything off and it still works like a charm. Nice product.

This is a great solution to lighting an umbrella-shrouded table without an extension cord. It is easy to install the batteries and easy to mount to the umbrella pole. I recommend mounting it just under the umbrella's thin metal extension arms unit that moves up and down the pole. That allows the umbrella to close in a normal fasion without having to remove the light. I rated the bright light setting as a nine since moving from medium to bright does not add much extra light. I suggest that you don't let that deter you on buying this item as the light still offers a pleasant, intimate effect.

So, long story short I ended up buying an umbrella for my patio, and while I was shopping I stumbled upon this umbrella light, since I noticed some umbrellas had preinstalled lights in the frame. I bought the light just to try it out, so I didn't always have to have my bright porch light on if I'm out there. So far I've had it a few weeks, and it is super amazing. I can have a centralized light if people sit outside, the different settings are super helpful (I mostly use the 2nd setting, just the perfect amount of light). And plus, when I'm done with the umbrella, I can shimmy the light down to the middle and it'll fit just enough for the umbrella to be fastened closed. Highly recommend!

Wow, this invention is genius and i wish i had it years ago. Living in florida we enjoy evenings in the yard pretty much all year round and ambiant lighting was always an issue. (We bought an expensive solar light umbrella last year but of course as every floridian knows, any outdoor equipment lasts a season or two at most with the elements.) This product takes care of the lighting issue perfectly at a ridiculously inexpensive price. There are three brightness levels, we tend to shine it up into the umbrella versus down on the patio table but either works. One thing to remember is that if you have a hand crank umbrella, it will only be able to slide up as far as the base of the crank.(which is still fine of course but doesnt allow quite as many variances) We have a traditional push up umbrella so we can slide it all the way up or down as high or low as we want depending on how ambiant or close to the dining/patio table we want the light. Highly recommend this product..

I was not expecting much for a $15 light. I was amazed at how well this worked. I clasped it onto my umbrella pole in seconds and it was ready to roll. Super easy to put on and take off. There is a dim, medium and high setting. Each accessed by clicking the power button in succession. This light is bright enough to enjoy dinner outside around a large patio table. I used it this Summer/Fall and it worked perfectly. Everyone that saw it really liked it as well and it always became a conversation piece.

This light is awesome. It has three light settings which is great for lighting up your food in the evening time. No more smelly dim candles that doesn't do the outdoor eating experience justice. Love this little light. Fits great on our umbrella and doesn't keep it from closing. All types of weather have hit this thing and its till keeps on going. Highly recommend this if you like to eat outside on dark nights under your umbrella.

Great umbrella light! Cheap and fun. Perfect for what I was looking for. Gives that extra light when your outside hanging out. I like that it has different setting of light. For at least my umbrella, I have to put it on and take it off before I close my umbrella, so I can't leave it on all the time.

I like that it requires AA batteries, not some special battery. 4 batteries that work individually so if one is dead, the others are not affected. Cordless-definite improvement over traditional lights on umbrellas. The light has 3 different modes: 4 "spot" lights (2nd pix), ring of light (3rd pix) and combo of both (1st pix). These were not tested at night so it might make a huge difference if you are trying for mood lighting and a glass of wine versus eating and seeing what you are doing. The on/off is printed upside down when applied under the umbrella and could be a little more obvious/easy to see and feel. Perhaps it is supposed to be on the table with the lights shining up into the umbrella versus down onto the table surface? Also the closure attachment could be a little easier to identify. None of this matters you think until you have your light clamped on and you are leaning over a large table up into the top trying to locate the on/off button and the attachment latch. Now do it when the weather turns and the wind is picking up and you need to close it fast. If it is easier, it is better. I don't know how waterproof it is. Mine is attached in the umbrella and protected by it. The unit is lightweight. The clamps squeeze to the size of your pole. I didn't think they would be strong enough to stay put but they do. If you have an extra fat pole, won't work. I like the unit. I'll buy 2 more for my other umbrellas.

Perfect lighting over the patio table. The 3 mode lighting feature lets you adjust how bright you want the table to be, yet it won't disturb the soft setting in the rest of your yard. Very easy to assemble to the umbrella and you can move it up high or bring it lower. I didn't want to buy another umbrella with light already attached and this light can go with you, for when you need a little extra lighting. Great find and price.
